CHAPTER 1

Run! that was the only thing going through the young man's mind. Run, faster, faster until you are safe. The last thing riley remembered was the sound of a colt being fired and medical sirens...
"CLEAR! Hey...kid, ummm, it's time to wake up, Boss we are definnetly going to need get jimmy & duck for all of these, uhh, cuts." answered a fading voice. When Riley was conscious again, he was in a dimmly lit room, the room itself could have been able to scare someone. There was a flatscreen, mabye a 12-inch on the wall oposit of the big window type glass on the wall, if he hadn't know for a fact it was one-way glass, he could have mistaken it for a mirror, a very big mirror, he knew he was right. The air of the room was dry, quiet. Normally he would have been thankful to be left alone, but the only thing he needed right at this moment was answers.
Being the son of a marine, he was 'trained' to think of escape routes quikly. The first, and most obvious escape was the door, the only one in the intire room. Second was the ventalation system, at this minute he relized that his bag was missing, so either the man who was chasing him has it, or the people who saved him do.
The security camera in the right corner of the wall with the tv was recording his every move, he was trapped. All he could do now was wait. It was close to being twenty minutes from the time he had waken up before he heard the sound of the door unlatch and seen an aged, light haired man walk through the door. He was wearing a grey suit, with a black shirt underneth.
"Who are you, where is my dad?" Riley demanded.
" Your dad was shot down in an alley, and we are doing everything we can to track down the people or sole person responsible." Just then, another man walked through the door, he looked to be in his late thirties or early fourties. He was wearing a dark green shirt, under a black columbia sweat jacket. The man had short, dark, chocolate colored hair. His eyes were light grey, and they had a shocked expression hidden deep in them, hidden by a calm look on his face.
"Boss, abby's got something." wispered the dark haired man, after the other had gotten up and walked over to him. the light haired man walked, at a faster pace than before, out of the room.
"Hi, you might remember me fr-"
"Your the man that was with me when I heard the sierens, Where is my bag?" Rikey asked.
" I don't know what bag you are talking about, but my name is special agent Anthony Dinnozzo. We are working on finding the people responsible for your dad...anyways, if you have anything you can tell us about your dad then it might give us a clue to why your dad was killed," Tony replied.
" Agent of what...and if I can think of anything, i'll be sure to let you know...hey, aren't I supposed to have a phone call or sonething?"
"NCIS, and instead of a phone call you can just go upstairs to your brother, well I guess he's only your half-brother."
"Wait, Jimmy, last I knew he was working on an engineering project for some company over seas in germany, he's here!" In thirty seconds thing had gone from the worst day ever to being a miracle, ever since two days ago- when his dad was shot, Riley had been hiding in alleys, back streets, away from the people who were trying to find him. If he was in kansas before, he definetly wasn't now!
" I doubt you know this, but if someone is preferred by the government to do a 'special' job then they have two options, one you can make an alias, but this is more for the people with no family, single and do not atract that much attention. The secon option, however, is a cover story," Tony explained.
" When am I allowed to see him?" he asked.
" Let me go check on that for you, I'll be right back, uhhh, here, play with this..." after slurring almost every word in that sentence, he practically threw a light up yo-yo at riley.

CHAPTER 2

The clock on the wall read 9:30 when riley looked at it, of course he was in a room with no windows, so he had no idea if that was AM or PM. To him it seemed like the people, he was pretty sure there were people, on the other side of the glass were watching him, waiting to see when he would try to escape, or mabye even talk. He couldn't figure out the reason they needed him, the only other thing worth worrying about was if his brohther really wanted to see him. Riley was trying to remeber the last time he and his brother had talked, forget face-to-face talking.
There are only a few things I can do right now, he thought to himself, but there were really only two. Next thing he knew he was singing nickleback and screwing around with the yo-yo. He thought about what Tony had said,'If you have anything you can tell us about your dad that might give us a clue', Then he put his back to the wall and slid down to the floor. Anything you can tell us about your dad, on that thought Riley slowly fell asleep.
" What do you got for me Abs," said the light haired man.
" I matched the slug from Lt. Ashton to the Colt in the dumpster. I still haven't had time to process the tissue sample that Ducky gave me, but I matched a print from the gloves at the sceene." Abby reported,"And these, are the contents of the grey bag found around the corner,"
" pencil, pen, camera, sketchbook,"
" My guess is that the kid had his back up against the wall across from the dumpster,"
" Drawing the dumpster?"
" That's right, Gibbs when do you think Jimmy's gonna go up there?"
" That's up to him."

CHAPTER 3

When Rliey woke up again, the clock read 11:42, the pnly difference is that this time, he had a guts feeling, he could tell it was PM. Tony walked slowly into room, compared to the last time he was in there. Riley wasn't suprized, if it was 11:42 PM Tony had been there all night. The only other difference was that he wasn't alone, he was with Jimmy! Jimmy was wearing one of his old suits, a plian black one with a whtie dress-top under it. His hair was shorter than riley rememberd, not military cut, but shorter than Tony's. The look on Jimmy's face was very clear: he was releived that riley was staring back at him. There were so many different thing floating around in jimmy's mind; but before he could do anything, Riley was hugging him, and he promised his little brother he wouldn't let go.
" you are safe now, here with me. Nothing can hurt you here," Jimmy wispered.
" What's going to happen to me now, where do I go?" Riley asked, his voice shaking.
" For right now, you are just going to stay in the foresics lab downstairs. I just got here so I still have to go to work, but I'll come up to check on you every once in a while, okay," Tony explianed.
All three of them took the elevator down to a level that jimmy said was right above the basement, where Jimmy worked with Ducky on autopsies. This was the level that forensics was on. On the way down, Jimmy explined to Riley how abby was goth and always really happy. On the inside, Jimmy was pretty sure Riley and Abby would get along, they were both the same kind of style, Riley was just more punk.
