“Unless the solution is found on the ground?” Mero asked.
Vumazra nodded her head. “If the solution works, then the Domain’s mana will be replenished.”
“There is a chance the solution won’t provide results?”
“No, Mero. There is a high likelihood that the solution will do nothing but waste time. The Domain will continue to die and we have very few options to revert its fate.”
“There is a chance, your Majesty. I will… search and retrieve the solution.”
Vumazra shook her head. “I applaud your plan, but… do remember about the chance of the solution being worthless. I would prefer if you enjoyed your life below and pass on the history and memories of your fellow peers.” She told him.
“But, your Majesty?” He started. “My life is tied to you. I will do everything I can to protect the Domain, even if it includes mingling with the other race.”
“Mero!” Vumazra barked. Mero couldn’t open his mouth and none of his other muscles operate. It was as if time had been frozen, but its effects were being placed primarily on him, “Your life is your own. I may have saved you back then, but this and that are two different matters. I want you to live as your own person. Please.”
Mero was released by Vumazra’s intimidating voice, nodding his head immediately. “As… As you see fit, your Majesty.”
Vumazra nodded before turning away from him. She grabbed something at the side of her throne, pulling it out. It was a large journal with the name “9999 Skills” on it. “I, under the permission of Holy Dragon King Vumazra, command the ability of Disguise to be cast on Mero. Heed my call, ancestors!” She declared.
A few seconds later, several lights shot out of the open journal and shot towards Mero, engulfing him in it. The process of granting him the ability took several seconds before the lights dissipated, ending the casting. Mero now held the ability in his blood.
“Your Majesty… what did you do?” He asked, ditching his “professional” tone.
“I gave you the ability to disguise yourself amidst the ground races. Now, you can live on the ground without being hunted by the evil of the races. I welcome you… to the next chapter of your life.”

Episode Three "Ground"“I understand… your Majesty,” Mero said, kneeling. “As… As you say.”
Vumazra shook her head. “Mero… I want you to live your life to the fullest. Don’t burden yourself with the Domain’s fate. Sooner or later, Merlin’s Will will be drained of mana and everything will collapse.”
“But… you gave me a chance to save the Domain? Yet you don’t want me to look for the solution that could save our kingdom and all of our people? What is happening, your Majesty.”
“Vumazra.” She said. “Call me Vumazra.”
“Your Majesty?” He coldly responded.
Vumazra scoffed at his insistence on using her title. “Well…” She started. “I have raised you as my own child and smothered you with love, have I not?”
“That is correct, your Majesty.”
“What kind of mother would enslave their children to solve other people’s problems. I told you about the solution to inspire hope, not have you inspired to achieve that hope. I will dispatch soldiers to find the solution if it truly exists or not.” She told him.
“Your Majesty, if I may?”
“Mero… we’re past formalities now.”
“I apologize, your Majesty.” He said. “I don’t believe that sending soldiers amidst a war is logical.”
“You believe that a few soldiers will cost us the war, Mero?”
Mero shook his head. “No, your Majesty. However, it makes very little sense to waste any men like that. I will complete the task on my own.”
Vumazra stood up from her throne, glaring at him. “You will not give up your life for the Domain!” She barked. “I will not let my child give everything up for something that may not exist!”
Mero lowered his head, cringing at his mother’s words.
Vumazra approached him, laying a hand on his shoulder and squeezing it. “I’m sorry, Mero, for yelling at you. However, my words speak no lies. I refuse to let you get yourself absorbed into something that isn’t related to you.”
“It is!” He exclaimed, looking up at his mother. “The Domain is my home! And you’re telling me to throw it away in exchange for a new life? Without a mother?”
Vumazra nodded. “Unfortunately, my duties as the Holy Dragon King require me to remain on the Domain until its last moment. I cannot abandon my duties, no matter how much I yearn to. I’m sorry that I wasn’t the best mother I could be to you.”
Mero shook his head, tears bubbling at the corner of her eyes. “P-Please! Come with me!” He insisted.
“I’m sorry, Mero. I would be abandoning my people if I leave the Domain. Even if our history is erased and forgotten, I would not be able to ascend knowing that I tainted my legacy and put my existence over my people’s. It is something that will bring me much disdain and disgust from our ancestor.”
“But!”
Vumazra shook her head. “I cannot leave, Mero. I-” She started before she felt a tear running down her cheek. She stared at the single tear, almost in shock. “I… I am crying?”
Mero stared at her, a sense of relief running through his blood. Mom… she is crying for me? She is crying!
She wiped the tear off her face as she turned away from him. She approached her throne, looking behind it. She grabbed three books from behind the throne, handing them to Mero.
“What is this?” He asked.
“The Ancient Texts.” She told him. “All three volumes. This will aid you in your new life.”
“It will… aid me in my mission?” He muttered as he stared at the cover of the first volume. There were several hundreds of words printed on the cover, but in a language he couldn’t decipher. Within the tangle of words was a large “1”, being larger than any of the words and decipherable text on the cover.
Mero went to open the book, but his mother stopped him. She shook her head as he looked up at her. “Open them outside of the Palace. A taboo declares that the Ancient Texts are not to be open in the Palace or any holy ground.”
“Why?” Mero asked.
“Because the Ancient Texts contains many forgotten and forbidden spells and abilities that go against our creator’s wishes. To open them on holy ground would be the same as disgracing the land.” She said.
Mero nodded, continuing to stare at the covers of the volumes, all of them with the same cover but a different number. “W-Why? Why are you giving me forbidden magic? Why are you in possession of them?”
Vumazra sucked in a large breath of air before exhaling it. “Because… I don’t know how strong the races on the ground are. I fear that they have gotten stronger since our departure and… that they would hunt you. That they would kill you. They’ll skin you alive and strip you apart. That was the fate that befell my brother who insisted on establishing a connection with the ground races. He was quickly hunted and stripped apart. I cannot allow that to happen to you.”
“But… I’m strong already.”
Vumazra nodded. “Take them as a precaution. If you believe your life isn’t in danger, then refrain from using them. However, if your neck is caught behind the Grim Reaper’s scythe, then please use the information inside the texts.” She insisted.
Mero nodded. “I will. I’ll take the texts, mom.”
Vumazra smiled. “Thank you, son.”

“You requested our presence, Grand Advisor Mero?” Akai asked. Tina was at his side, both of them staring at Mero with curious eyes.
Mero nodded, acknowledging his question. “I did. I was permitted by Vumazra-”
Akai and Tina looked at him strangely. “Her Majesty, you mean, Grand Advisor Mero?” Akai said.
“Didn’t he scold me earlier for my words?” Tina chimed in.
Mero nodded his head. “Yes… You’ll both be traveling with me. We’ll be leaving today.”
“If you don’t mind me asking… Why, Grand Advisor Mero?”
“Mero.” He muttered. “Call me Mero. I am not the Grand Advisor anymore. There’s no hierarchy anymore.”
“Why?” Akai asked.
“Because the Domain is dying.”
“How could it, Mero?” Tina asked. “The Domain doesn’t look like it’s changed at all.”
“Because it’s not at its expiration date, yet. But it will soon be. Anyways, we’ll be heading to the ground floor… and saving the Domain.”

“Holy Dragon King?” An Advisor, a gray dragon, asked.
Vumazra stared at him. “What is it?”
“The other tribes have declared war. They intend on destroying us. What shall we do, Holy Dragon King?”
Vumazra rose from her throne, approaching the dragon. “We’ll crush them. Call for our soldiers, let them roar with excitement. And send a messenger ahead. If they wish for war, then they will suffer the consequences.”
“As you say, Holy Dragon King.”
Vumazra nodded, watching as he left her presence. Once he was out of earshot, she turned around and faced her throne. “Heed my call, ancestors! Protect the heir to my title, my precious son.”

Episode Four "Save The Domain"“Send us down,” Mero ordered a Dragon Knight. The Dragon Knight stared at Mero strangely, hesitant to follow his order. Mero recognized this, shaking his head out of disappointment. “Under the order of the Holy Dragon King, Grand Advisor Mero, Main Assistant Akai, and Main Assistant Akai will be sent to the ground without hesitation.”
The Dragon Knight nodded, beginning the process to send them down using a device known as the Bridge. The Bridge was created by Merlin and shaped like a vertical tunnel that shoots down its riders. The entire process is painless and only takes a handful of seconds to complete.
With preparations completed, the Dragon Knight turned to Mero and nodded his head, confirming that the process was confirmed and ready for them. Mero nodded back, leading the way into the Bridge. He stood on top of a thick glass pane that was suited for a dragon’s weight and waited for the Dragon Knight to send him down.
“Grand Advisor Mero… Dragon Knight Morgg sends his regards!” He exclaimed before pressing a button that took the glass from under Mero’s feet. Mero fell into the tunnel, disappearing into the abyss.
Tina and Akai watched from some distance away, hesitant to follow Mero’s lead. Neither of them had experience with the Bridge as rarely few were allowed to venture to the ground as permission could only be given out by the Holy Dragon King. However, they were given a mission by Mero and they didn’t intend on refusing it. Akai followed Mero’s lead,
