Tina, the last of the trio, approached the Bridge with extreme caution, hesitant to stand on the glass. Although she was fearful of the device, she understood that she was being brought along for a reason. After several moments, she arrived at the Bridge, standing on the grass, and awaiting the same send-off.
Morgg, who watched her as she had shuffled to her spot on the Bridge, nodded her head at her. “Main Assistant Tina… Dragon Knight Morgg sends his regards.”
Tina nodded. “I would prefer it if you sent me those regards in a different situat-” She started before Morgg hit the button and sent her through the tunnel. She disappeared into the abyss instantly, her eyes staring up at the entrance as the glass slid back in place. The glass clicked as it locked into place. Tina couldn’t return to the Domain for some time.

Mero opened his eyes, finding himself in a thick forest. In front of him were flattened and cracked trees, caused by his weight. He landed on top of the trees, destroying a large chunk of forest. Akai and Tina, who appeared behind him, added to the damage.
“Mero?” Tina muttered.
Mero turned to face her. “What is it?”
“Do you know where this solution is?” She asked.
Mero shook his head. “I wasn’t informed where it is… but it should be on the ground somewhere.”
Akai shook his head. “We’re roaming aimlessly then?”
Mero nodded. “... Yes, we are. At least until we can discover a clue.” He said. “Our plan is to discover a settlement owned by a ground race and extract information from them. Search for anything that resembles a settlement.”
Tina and Akai nodded, both taking a single step and crushing more trees in their path. Mero looked at them, squinting at the trees. “It appears that we cannot use our real bodies as we will lead a trail.”
“I can turn into a human,” Tina said.
“So can I,” Mero added.
“You can? You received access?” Akai asked.
“Special access. Now, the question is about you, Akai. Can you change into a human?” He asked. Akai shook his head sadly.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t. I… didn’t request access to the 9999 Scrolls.” Akai said.
Mero nodded, figuratively scratching his head. “Then… Can you change your size?”
Akai nodded. “I didn’t fall behind Tina for that ability. The tutors had pushed the information into my head long ago. It shouldn’t be difficult to decrease my size to as small as I can.” He revealed. “If you wish, I can change it here.”
“Please.”
Akai nodded. He closed his eyes and followed his tutors’ advice of slowing their breaths and heartbeats and visualizing the change needed. He envisioned himself as a bite-size version of himself, using that sight as a template for his size decrease.
With his eyes shut close and his mind visualizing the change, his body began shifting. It started shrinking, every aspect of him decreasing in size to fit his new stature. None of his organs were larger than needed for his small body and his appearance remained the same, but he was now smaller. He was the size of a large dog.
Mero, satisfied with the change, initiated his own. He called out to his ability and watched as the change occurred. His body began disappearing and everything that made him a dragon disappeared. His tail, snout, and wings shrunk to non-existence, and in its place were human features.
He changed into a black-haired young adult with a tan complexion, charcoal eyes, and a pointed nose. He stood close to 5’11 and was toned, this being caused by the training he underwent to become a Grand Advisor as well as his dragon weight correlating to a lighter person’s weight.
Tina, similarly, was built like Mero. After calling out to her ability and beginning the humanifying process, she turned into a petite pink-haired young adult. She lacked meat on her body, being awkwardly skinny, and her eyes were sunken - a detail not noticeable in her original form. However, amidst the similarities, she had a different shaped nose and eye color. Her nose was straight and flat on all sides and, instead of black, she had blue eyes.
Both human forms were beautiful by human standards but normal by dragon standards.
Mero spent several moments seeing the changes in their bodies before focusing on his mission. “Let’s search for a town or city. We need information to move forward.” He insisted.
Tina and Akai nodded, following Mero as he took the lead. He led them in a random direction which he wasn’t sure if it was the correct one or not. However, his gut feeling convinced him that it was.
They traveled in a straight line for several hours, none of them reaching exhaustion. Their human forms still contained the energy and experience that their original dragon form had, which was a large advantage for them. Though this didn’t help them as they didn’t manage to find any towns or cities in their path. All they could find were stretches of trees farther than they could see with their human eyes.
Although the situation seemed pointless, Mero continued forward. He wanted to find information that would lead him to the solution to save the Domain. It was his main mission, what he was putting all of his efforts into.
Tina and Akai were in similar boats, but they couldn’t understand the full situation as Mero revealed very little to them. He had forced them to follow him with very little to work on. Fortunately, though, Tina spoke up to clear up the confusion.
“What is happening to the Domain? Why is it dying?”
Mero glanced at her. “... It’s Merlin’s Will. It’s almost out of mana. The Domain will vanish and everybody on it will disappear along with it. The only way to save the Domain is to replenish the mana, but it’s a large amount that even Vumazra couldn’t supply.”
“Didn’t Merlin’s texts say that we have more than a few millennials?” Akai asked.
Mero nodded. “Yes, but… the constant wars have used up more mana than we could ever replenish. The wars are killing our home. They’re destroying it.”
Akai nodded. “And the solution that we’re looking for will solve everything? Are we sure it will be enough?”
Mero nodded. “It will. I’ll make sure it’s enough.” He said before tilting his head. He was coming up to a clearing. He could see buildings through the trees. He, somehow, found a town in the sea of trees.
He turned to face his friends. “We… We found a town. We’re one step in the right direction.”
