I must say, I do not remember much, only one time when we went to the beach. I was a bout two years old, playing in the sand, far, far away from the water. I was terrified of sharks.
I was wearing a lifejacket and a tie-die one-piece swimsuit. My brother and sister were down at the water, making an odd structure. They'd made it out of scooping sand out, then putting that to the center. Whenever the water came up, it would fill it all the way to the top. They constantly tried to get me to go down, but I was too stubborn.
My dad was packing up his stuff. We were in the only house I remember that far back, and I was sitting on the stairs, crying my eyeballs out. I think he was wearing a purple/gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and Berckinstocks.
My mom was holding me on the stairs, the door right beside us. When dad was walking out, I was so sad i could feel it inside of me. It makes me tear a bit to think about it even more. I was squalling more than anything you've ever seen.
When my father had just reached the garage door, I cried out, "Daddy no, come back!!!" But the door had already closed. He was gone.
I dug my head in my mother's jacket then, after she said it was too late. He didn't have the keys to come back, either. I was mortified.
But don't worry; I'm very happy nowadays, even if my father did leave.
I live in a good home, have food every meal, and go to school. Heck, I even have my own MacBook Pro!!!
So don't worry about me. I'm just fine. Pray for those who need it. And for you people out there that believe in Christ:
"Dear God the Father,
I am so thankful that you do anything for us. We deserve nothing from you, yet you give us favors. We are but a dirty toilet rag that has been thrown in the dumpster, but you still love us. It amazes me.
You love us dearly, even though we humiliated you. We pushed thorns into your brow and crown, yet you still love us. We stripped you of your decency in public, yet you still love us. We made you carry your cross almost like five miles, yet you still love us. And finally, we gave you vinegar to drink instead of water, yet... You still love us.
You still love us. You will love us no matter what. Through the thick and thin, you are helping us. We do bad things to ourselves; you don't have any part in them. We are all selfish, we all want something someone else needs. Thank you.
