The roadworkers Kulwant Singh and Lakhbir Singh were on their way to the Head Office in Hounslow, where a meeting was held. Both knew, that Hygiene Regulations were on the agenda. The news was full about the Corona Virus, which came from China and was spreading rapidly all over the world.
Lakhbir Singh wasn´t feeling too well. In the morning they had been celebrating a collegue´s birthday with a large Black Forest Gateaux. Lakhbir had loved this delicious creamy cake with a chocolate base and a cherry filling. Once he had finished his own piece, he had three more. But the cake was now troubling him. He had a bad stomach ache and he knew he was full of gas. So he went to the toilet, to let it all out. It didn´t work and the meeting was beginning, but Lakhbir was hardly listening of what was said.
With both hands he pressed on his stomach to ease the pain, there was finally a sign of relief. He lifted his butt and let one go. It was a silent one, but the stink was unbelievable. His neighbor to the left was grabbing a tissue and blowing his nose, while his neighbor to the right rushed to the window in search of fresh air.
After three Minutes the stench had reached the speaker at the front desk. He sniffed and bellowed:
"WHO HAS BEEN FARTING?"
But this wasn´t the end of Lakhbir Singh´s problem. Far from it!
As he returned to his workplace outside the City, the pressure in his bowels increased. He entered the mobile toilet box and found that there was no toilet paper.
So he picked up his mobile phone and called his boss Kulwant Singh.
"We haven´t got any toilet paper here. How am I supposed to wipe my behind?"
Kulwant replied: "Hang on, I give the Office Girl a call."
The Office Girl checked with the warehouse, but no toilet paper had arrived lately. There was no soap, no hand sanitizer and no paper tissues either. People all around the Town had gone mad about stocking up necessary goods, like there was no tomorrow.
Kulwant got back to Lakhbir on the phone and told him the bad news.
Now Lakhbir had been sitting on the toilet fo quite a while with no chance of getting out, because he couldn´t wipe his bottom. You can image, that his mood was dropping every minute, he was locked in.
"GET ME SOME TOILET PAPER, QUICK! I DON´T CARE; WHERE YOU GET IT FROM. AND DON´t YOU DARE COMING BACK WITHOUT IT!"
Kulwant was not stupid. He understood full well the urgency of Lakhbir´s call. He knew, that all the toilet paper in the shops had disappeared because of the Corona Virus and the Government´s Order to stay at home.
He went to get the forklift and headed to a nearby warehouse. There he told the warehouse manager, that he was ordered by the Brookmiller Company to buy one palette of toilet paper for the roadworkers. The Company would pay for it.
With 4 000 rolls of toilet paper on his forklift he rushed back to his workplace and dropped his load in front of the mobile toilet box.
Lakhbir Singh was still inside the box. He couldn´t get out, because the toilet door was blocked with the toilet paper he so badly needed.....
