Chapter One

"Did you see the new students, or what? Aren't they sexier than hell?" asks my best friend, Llana.
"I did see them. But, I wouldn't know if they were sexier than hell, because I've never been there. Have you?" She shrugs, then smiles. She's awesome. Most of the time. "Look," I say. "I've got to go. Homeroom is almost over. I've got to get to 1st period. I don't want to be late...Again." She nods, then I turn the other direction, and ram right into someone.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to run into you." What in the world? I look up at him. Oh God! He's one of the new kids.
"It's ok-k-k-kay," I stutter. I try to get out of his way, to pass him. He does the same thing.
"My name is Sage. Who are you?"
"My name is Farah," I answer automatically. "And now, I have to get to my class. So, bye now," I say, my normal behavior coming back to me. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.
"Oh, sorry. Who do have?" Is he trying to flirt, cause he's really bad at it.
"I have Mr. Tanner." I step out of his way, and walk past him. He grabs my arm. Holy shit! He is very cold. He releases his hold, and snifs the air.
"I have to go," he says. "See you later. I guess," he mumbles. As I walk to class, I think about Sage.
"What the fuck just happened?" I whisper as I walk into the classroom.

"Sage, why don't you sit next to Farah," says my science teacher, Mrs. Foul. Weird name, right? Oh, and now I hate her guts. He smiles, and walks towards me. Great!
"Hey, Farah. Do you mind if I sit here? Of course you don't. The teacher wanted me to sit here, so you won't object." He sits down next to me, and starts mumbling something. What the hell?
"Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to pay attention. What about you? Of course you would. You wouldn't want to get on the teacher's bad side...Like you have mine." He chuckles. "Stop it!" The whole class looks at us. Oh crap!
"Farah and Sage, please see me after class," say Mrs. Foul.
When the bell rings, I go up to Mrs. Foul, with Sage at my side. "You two need to stop with your shinanigan's. You two will have detention this Thursday. I will be calling your parents." I choke back tears. "Oh, Farah. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"Well, too bad. You did. Don't worry about it. I can just tell my best friends mom that I have it. Okay? Well, bye now. You're getting on my nerves. And, I'm going to the guidance counselor about you not being my teacher anymore. You know that my parents died One WEEK

ago. Bye now!" I walk out of the classroom, and hear footsteps behind me. It's Sage.
"Well, I can now tell why you hate me so much. I had no idea. I'm so sorry." I start to cry. I wipe my eyes, and turn away from him. "Hey," he says, putting his hand gently on my arm. "Why don't we just ditch the rest of school today?" I nod my head. He takes my hand, and leads me out of the hallway.
"Where are we going?" I ask. He looks at me in the eyes, and smiles slightly.
"You'll see. Just close your eyes, and trust in me." He helps me onto his back, and I close my eyes. Then, I feel the wind rushing through my face. What are we doing? And how is this happening?

Chapter Two

He sets me down on the ground, and I open my eyes. We are in a beautiful pasture. "What is this place?" He smiles.
"I found it the other day. Isn't it beautiful?" More like FUCKING AMAZING!!!!
"Yea. It is. More than beautiful. I can't believe it. How did you find it?" His look seems like he's trying so hard to know what my actions are about.
"When I was hunting," he says simply. Uh, what the heck?
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"Nothing. I mean nothing just like I always do. Don't listen to what I say."
"Huh?" That backfired.
"Never mind. Just forget this whole thing happened. This was only a dream. You are going to think of this as a dream." Psssh. Yea right. I don't forget things. I have had people do that to me sooo many times, that it doesn't work.
"Okay. Sure it will. Bye." I walk away, but he won't let me. He grabs my wrist, kisses me hard on the lips, and then bites my neck. The pain soon turned into a wonderful bliss. For about 3 seconds. Then he lets me go, and my neck aches like hell before I finally pass out. The last thing I hear is...
"You know, we could've gotten along so well if you hadn't of killed my brother." What the hell? I've been alive for 16 years, and I have zippo idea what he is talking about.
