A day of wonder and sadness for most. Hate and anger flowing through your vains. Fear, worry. All this, all your emotions on one day. One day marked as importance. One day. One day when the world changes. The day of the BP oil spill.

Some people don't know how the great spill happened. Well, it's more of a leak and a spill intertwined together.
First, BP drilled into the Ocean's floor, allowing oil to flow. They hurridely connected a pipe to the hole, tight and clean. Somewhere along the way the pipe ruptured. So, what does BP do next? For 60 days, BP let oil damage our Ocean. Then, they took the pipe out and covered the hole in the Ocean with a cement cap.
Yes, they stopped the flow of oil, but, what if the cement cap where to fail? It could come out easily at anytime. BP is just hoping the "solution" will hold. But...what if it doesn't? How long will it take BP if their plan doesn't work?

As the oil leaked, the Ocean's water became poison, killing so many innocent animals. Water life is being harmed every day because of the spill. Animals are not the only ones being affected, though. Humans are also being harmed by this spill.
People like fishers, vacationers, people who live along the Ocean, us.
Fisher's are losing prouduct and food. You cannot eat or sell contaminated animals. Vacationers, tourists are affected because they can't go have a fun time. How much money did they waste before the spill just to not be able to go because of BP? People who live along the Ocean are watching it be destroyed. Are seeing something they care about be ruined right in front of their eyes. Not to mention, any oil washed up on shore could hurt their homes, family, or animals.
And finally: Us. How are we affected? Well, our drinking water will decrease, we won't get any fish, and we are losing our Ocean.

We can help. We the people can help clean up the Ocean. We can help the water animals, the land animals, the people. How?
How? That question is easy to answer. If you live near the Ocean, join a club or charity that helps clean the Ocean and animals.
If you don't, start a fundraiser and give it to a spill charity near year. Give your allowance, get the community involved. Clean up your area. That ensures that no more garbage will trash the Ocean while we try to stop the effects from the spill.
Raise awareness for the spill like I'm doing now.
