“I’m his nurse,” I say to the girl before Adan can answer. “And I’m here to clean his bandages.”
She looks to Adan, shock on her face. “Are you hurt, honey?”
Sweet mother of god. Is she blind? Stupid? I don’t understand. She just spent an entire night with him and she didn’t notice his bound hands?
“Please tell me you actually paid attention to the fact that both of his hands are completely unusable. I’m sure the man is incredibly skilled with his penis, but nobody is that dumb.”
She gasps at me. “It was dark.”
“Honey, come on ...”
“Who are you anyway?” she snaps at me.
“I already answered that. Now, unless you want to clean his wounds, then it’s time for you to leave. I’ll show you the door. You do know what a door is, don’t you?”
“Enough,” Adan growls.
The other two girls, who are seemingly oblivious as they get dressed, stare at their phones, get up, and walk out without so much as a glance back at Adan. The blond has other plans, and it’s clear within seconds she thinks she’s more than a one-night stand.
She probably hasn’t learned yet, but nobody is more than a one-night stand to Adan.
Nobody.
“Would you like me to stay?” she asks Adan, sitting on the side of the bed.
“No,” he answers swiftly.
“Oh,” she murmurs, and her eyes swing to me. “I guess I’ll go then.”
“Ta-ta,” I say cheerfully as she walks out the door.
When she’s gone, Adan gets out of the bed, fully naked. Because of the fact that I wash him twice a day, he no longer has any problem getting around naked. He figures if I have seen it once, then that’s that and he can now throw it around like we’re a married couple.
Which we certainly are not.
“If you ever let an air horn off in my room again,” he says, walking toward the bathroom, perfect backside on display, “I’ll shove it up your ass.”
I smother a laugh as I pick up my first-aid kit off the ground and follow him into the bathroom.
“Noted.”
When we reach the bathroom, he turns and waits as I get in, turn the shower on, and then carefully cover both of his arms with plastic wrap so his bandages don’t get wet. Then, he stands in the shower as I run a sponge very quickly over his body. It’s hard, no doubt just as much for him as it is for me. I know he hates this part of his day—he despises that he can’t hold a sponge to clean himself. It’s the worst possible thing he could ever think of to happen in his life, but he simply has no other choice.
I reach his penis and, in a frantic motion, far quicker than I usually do, I slap the sponge against it and then jump back. “There. Done.”
“It’s not done, you didn’t even wash it,” he growls.
“I’m not going closer to that thing. You just stuck three women, god only knows what’s crawling around on the surface.”
“I fuckin’ tarped up, now wash it.”
I narrow my eyes.
“You wash it or I get another nurse and you get a bad fuckin’ report.”
I huff and step closer. “You’re not a very nice person, are you?”
“No.”
I sponge him down, properly this time.
His dick doesn’t even twitch.
Not a rise.
Not a little wiggle.
Nothing.
Way to make a girl feel special.
“Would it help if I were dressed like a nurse?” I say, standing upright.
“Help with what?” he mutters as I take a towel and start drying him.
“Getting a boner.”
“I don’t get a boner because I’m not attracted to you.”
I grunt. “Honey, I’ve seen some of the women you bring in here. I’m far better looking ...”
“You’re mouthy, I don’t do mouthy. You do nothin’ for me.”
“That wasn’t what you were saying when you pleaded with me to let you fuck me that night ....”
He narrows his eyes. “I was horny, you were throwing yourself at me. Got to know you, don’t like you. My dick don’t like you.”
“Dicks like everyone.”
“They don’t.”
“Yes, they do.”
“Did it move when you just had your hands all over it?”
I purse my lips and help him get dressed.
“You’ll never get a hard on out of me, stop tryin’.”
Well.
Challenge bloody accepted.
“We’ll see,” I murmur, unraveling his first hand.
Adan has significant burns to both his hands and forearms. He tried to stop the fire from spreading to the customers’ cars when the garage he works at went up in flames. He attempted to smother it, but whatever he used only accelerated it more and he ended up with some nasty results.
It’ll be a solid six weeks more before he can even go without the bandages. Not to mention he has a few surgeries up his sleeve. He’ll recover, but his hands will never be fully the same again.
He makes a hissing sound as I pull the bandage off. It sticks slightly, and I know it must hurt when I carefully pull that away from the raw skin. Burns are said to be some of the most painful things a human can experience, so I know he’s hurting. I clean it up and redress it, and then do the other one. I have to do this twice a day, but I also have to help him with basically everything.
“Need a ride to the club. Got business. You go see Eve.”
“Yes. Master,” I say in a robot voice and stand straight. “I will go prepare the car, Master.”
I do a robot walk out the door.
He’ll learn to like me.
He really will.

“How’s things with Papi?” Eve asks, wiggling her brows as she swoops past me with two coffees in her hands.
I swivel around on my chair so she can hear me when
