obviously made some impression on them both. Those two boys were hard work and as much as I missed aspects of them, I was relieved the tour was over and I could take a smaller back seat ride in their career.

Singing along to a song about myself, grinding on chests and being ‘the bomb’ and ‘the man’ wasn’t exactly what I wanted to do, but I had to say the tune was catchy and hard not to sing along to. I was just grateful that they recorded a somewhat cleaner version of that song. I laughed as I pushed open the door to Hank’s home.

I had been living here for more than eleven months. It’s funny how days slip by and before you seriously know it the year is nearly over… I think several months on tour with five greedy, sex craved, drug-taking rockers had worn me out. A holiday was on the books and good night’s sleep.

‘Ace you’re the man, you’re the bomb, you’re the best, Ace you’re a chick who can grind on my chest… I need you baby, jump in my truck, I have a pick up baby… were we can fu*k.’

Just my luck, the damn song was everywhere I turned.

I headed down into the sunken lounge room of Hank’s house.

The TV was on and playing the Ace film clip snippets, the clip was set for release in a few days time.

“And that was JED with their sneak peek film clip of Ace from their latest self-titled album JED.” the TV presenter spoke as she did her spiel on the screen. You gotta love the music stations on the idiot box.

I smiled and continued into the kitchen in need of a bottle of water, I was thirsty, tired and ready for a bath. I rounded the corner to find Hank pouring liquid into shot glasses. The backyard was all lit up with party lights, people cheering and splashing in the swimming pool.

“Hank!” I squealed.

He looked up from his task with the biggest smile I had seen on his face in a long time. Placing down the bottle of liquor he had in his hand he stepped closer, embracing me in his arms and spinning me around, as I giggled like a little girl and hung onto him.

It had been weeks, in fact it had been months since I had seen him or even spoke with him on the phone. To say I missed him was a slight understatement. Hank was more than just my boss, he was my housemate, friend and…

I leaned in, breathing in his scent.

The distinct cologne that used to fill my head everyday was present, but he also just smelt like sweet jasmine soap.

“I missed you,” I mumbled into his neck.

“I missed you too,” he replied, hugging me tighter.

“So we’re having a party?” I asked, pulling away with a smile on my face.

“You bet your ass we’re having a party,” he grinned mischievously, smacking me on the bum as he walked away.

This was home, this was fun and this was Hank. There was nothing in the world that I loved more than being with him; even fucking in the back of an RV with Eric was no match for the thrill I got every time I saw Hank, every time I stood in a room with him.

“Hey,” I called out, the smile still splitting my face.

“What’s up Ace?” Hank responded.

“I’m thinking, hot bubble bath, me all soaped up and hmm maybe a little battery operated toy…,” I winked, biting down on my lip to stifle a laugh.

“Ace you’re the bomb, you’re the man, and you’re the best, Ace I have chocolate and I’m certain we can make a mess,” Hank joked, as he continued to sing the cheesy lines to JED’s new hit song.

I couldn’t hold the laughter in any longer, he was too funny. He smirked, handed the liquor to some party goer who was walking by and came to me.

“Fuck this party babe… because Ace… you’re all mine,” Hank growled as he picked me

and threw me over his shoulder.

With that sentence I was a goner. I had always had a thing for Hank, even though I had sworn that I would never delve down the path of hooking up with the boss. The truth was, the heart, mind and libido wanted what it wanted, and even though the reality could have panned out a lot different to what was happening right now… I seriously couldn’t picture being with anyone else.

The summer of two thousand and fourteen was a wild one; I spent it hanging out with a band of hot, leather clad rockers.

I fake dated one to appease the big boss, I fooled around a little with another. I watched two brothers suffer through drug highs and lows which resulted in one of them almost dying, and I watched one bad boy rocker fall head over heels for my best friend Elle.

Ohhh yeah, I’d say I had one hell of a wicked summer and coming home to Hank was just the icing on my cake.

THE END

About the Author

I’m an Australian Indie author who is obsessed with reading.

I enjoy most genres including romance, erotic fiction, YA, Fantasy and plenty more.

I self-published my first book, Ace - Playtime Series Book one back in 2014 and since then I’ve never looked back.

I enjoy the outdoors, travel, hanging with family and friends, creative writing but seriously deep down I have discovered that online shopping is somewhat of a secret obsession of mine.

I am an outgoing, fun, care free woman who allows my inner child to come out and play more than I should but, in all honesty, I am just a big clown ready for a lot of fun and games.
