don’t have to do that,” I muttered.

“You’re tired, my king,” she whispered, pulling off my other boot. “Please sleep. You’ve earned it.”

“Thanks,” I smiled sleepily. “What about my friends? I can’t watch over them if I’m asleep.”

“I and your Shock Knights will watch over them for you, my king.”

I smiled, “You’re a good person, Captain Theia.”

“I try, my king.”

“I’ll keep trying too. For you.”

“Don’t do it for me, my king. Do it for everyone else.”

“Further proof of how good you are,” I snickered sleepily and yawned for a long time, relaxing into the blankets.

“Sleep, my king. I’ll be here if you need me.”

“Yeah,” I yawned. “Thanks.”

I was vaguely aware of her rolling out her golden silk mat at the foot of my bed, removing her boots, gloves and headpiece, and sitting down cross-legged in the Lotus position to guard over me while I slept and dreamt of angels. Beautiful babe angels dressed only in gold.

—: Chapter 28 :—

The next morning, I made my way through the hexagonal halls of the outpost followed by Captain Theia and her squad of Shock Knights.

Since stopping Titano yesterday, I had become the talk of the outpost. Since waking this morning and eating a hearty breakfast, every woman I passed in the hexagonal corridors now — Normals and Monster babes alike — weres even more bright-eyed and excited when they saw me. They said things like:

“You saved us from Titano, my king!”

“If it wasn’t for you, our base would be rubble!”

“My king, you’re a true hero.”

“You’re our savior, my king. The one we’ve been waiting for.”

I chuckled nervously at that one, saying in reply, “I don’t know about that.”

The constant adulation from the most beautiful babes in the universe was heady stuff. I responded as humbly and respectfully as possible, telling the women Titano’s defeat had been a team effort because it truly had.

That didn’t stop every woman I passed from flirting, smiling effusively, adding an extra bounce to their boobs and strut to their step, or saying with sultry desire, “Good moooorning, my king.”

Quite a few stopped long enough to bow formally. It was as much a sign of respect and deference as it was a flirtation. It had become clear to me their bowing was an excuse to dish up their cleavage to maximum effect. And maximum it was. You could see practically everything. Whoever had designed their uniforms, the ones with tight semi-bondage neck-collars and deep V-cuts from neck to navel knew what they were doing.

I got an eyeful every time someone bowed.

Call it my reward for defending them and their outpost.

Sadly, it did little to soothe my sadness about losing so many women fighting Titano yesterday. And of course losing Violet. She was always on my mind. But I was old enough to know life was often filled with tragedy, and the living had no choice but to carry on.

My erotic entourage — Captain Theia and her basically naked Shock Knights — and I made our way to the auditorium building where the packed room erupted with applause when the Shock Knights filed in first. I waited in the wings while they circled the steps at the based of an elevated hexagonal stage in the center of the hexagonal auditorium, and took their positions there.

Colonel Sadys already stood on the stage and said a few words before announcing me.

I made my way up to the stage amidst another roar of applause. Surrounding me and seated on a hexagonal ring of risers were hundreds of officers and high-ranking enlisted women. It didn’t register at the time that every woman in here was “Normal.” Not a single “Monster” babe was present.

I never noticed because I was new here, and it was only my second day.

What I did notice was the ocean of breast perfection surrounding me. They were every size, shape, and human skin tone you could possibly want. The sparkling and alluring eyes of these gorgeous women were locked on me wherever I wandered on the stage. They hung off my every word like I was their beloved mystical guru explaining the secrets of the universe.

After saying a few respectful words about the guardswomen who lost their lives yesterday fighting Titano, I moved on to the next topic.

“Some of you know we found some strange technology strapped to that trax yesterday,” I said to my attentive audience. “Our techs have analyzed what we’re calling an emotional agitator and a cybernetic spine. We found both stuck in Titano’s back.” That drew scattered laughter because Titano’s nickname had caught on around the outpost. “The techs tell me it looks like pirates designed the device. Baron Crewd von Bludlust’s pirates. The techs say the design has their signature written all over it.”

Merely mentioning the name Crewd drew angry mutters and scattered boos from the auditorium crowd.

“Turns out,” I said, continuing my speech, “the rhombus shape on top of the emotional agitator was a compass. Doesn’t point at magnetic north. No, it points at our outpost. No matter where you stand outside the outpost, or how far away, it points back to the center of this base. Our base. The techs checked it.”

More mutters from the attentive women.

“As impossible as it sounds,” I said, “somebody — likely working for Crewd — implanted a bunch of gear in a Titanosaurus Rex in our jungle, and it sent Titano rampaging straight here.”

“How, my king?” someone called out from the audience.

“The techs said the emotional agitator also emits a painful electric shock that went straight to Titano’s brain when he walked any direction other than straight at us. Think of it like an automatic control collar. Obviously, when Titano got here, he was pissed,” I smirked.

Snorts and snickers of agreement from the audience.

Someone said, “My, king? Is the compass pointing at a transmitter of some kind? Something planted by a spy?”

I cringed because this woman basically nailed it.

The audience erupted with suspicious mutters.

“We’re already checking,” I said. I did not say that last night, one of the techs
