Nothing stopped her arousal. It circled both of them and squeezed.
She orgasmed as Trip ground into her and groaned. Pulsating underneath him, she rode the waves of pleasure washing throughout her.
He lowered his head, pressing his forehead to hers. She panted, trying to catch her breath as her lower body remained vibrating underneath him.
He hadn't even broken a sweat, and she sounded like someone who'd run a marathon and collapsed at the finish line.
She reached up and stroked his jaw. He would want an answer about moving in with him soon. She knew him well enough that once he verbally stated something, he expected instant action.
"I need to check on the boys and make sure they got out of the pool." She kissed his lips. "Can we talk once they're asleep?"
He nodded and raised his head, then pushed off her. She sat up, disoriented, while he got rid of the condom and pulled a pair of sweatpants out of the dresser. Spying her bag, she got off the bed and stretched before digging out a pair of shorts and the sweatshirt she threw in last minute.
After losing his warmth, she felt chilled.
Trip moved across the room, double-checking to make sure she was covered and opened the door. She joined him, catching his hand and holding it in both of hers.
As she walked by the kitchen on the way to the gym, she spotted Zach sitting at the table, eating pizza. She stepped inside with Trip.
"Where's your brother?" she asked.
"Bathroom."
She grabbed a piece of pizza for her and Trip and stood by the table, leaning back against Trip's chest. "Did you have a good swim?"
"Yeah." Zach wiped his mouth off with the back of his hand. "I wish we had a pool at home. I'd be swimming every day."
She laughed. There were many things her kids wanted, but there was no way she could afford a pool.
"You can have this one." Trip's hand found Bonnie's hip. "Move here and swim all you want."
Zach's mouth fell open, and he gawked. She raised her finger and shook her head before Zach could beg her to move in with Trip.
She knew her sons. They had no emotional connection to Grandpa Gene's house. They also had no idea what a commitment moving in with Trip would be on her.
"But, Mom, he said—"
"I know what he said, but that's a conversation for me to have with Trip. Not you." She took a bite of pizza, ending the conversation.
Zach's gaze flickered away from her, and he frowned. She looked to her side and stiffened. Kenny dragged his feet into the kitchen, looking pale and upset.
"What's wrong?" She set the last bite of pizza down and moved toward her youngest son. "Are you okay?"
"I just threw up," mumbled Kenny.
"Oh, Lord." She felt his forehead. "You're clammy."
He brushed her hand away. "I don't feel good."
"Okay. Sit down." She turned. "Zach, get the bags you brought with you. We'll take him home."
"You don't have to go." Trip stepped up beside her.
She reached out and squeezed his hand. "He'll be more comfortable at home. Plus, he might have the flu or something contagious. I didn't bring any Tylenol with me."
He dipped his chin. "I'll take their stuff out to the car."
Concerned about Kenny, she made quick work of getting him situated in the car. Handing him his dirty shirt in case he threw up on the way home.
Kissing Trip, she whispered, "Sorry."
"Not your fault." Trip leaned over and looked in the car. "Take it easy, Kenny. I hope you feel better in the morning."
Getting in the car, she backed away from Trip's house and headed up the mountain. The night hadn't turned out like she'd imagined it would.
Bummed that Kenny was ill, she couldn't help being grateful that she had more time to think over Trip's offer.
She couldn't think rationally when he was around, and whatever her decision ended up being, it would change all their lives drastically.
Chapter Twenty Eight
Kenny slept curled up on the bed. Bonnie smoothed the hair off his forehead and quickly backed out of his bedroom. After having to stop once on the way home and let him get sick on the side of the road, he'd made it the rest of the way without any more episodes.
Leaving his door open in case he needed her in the middle of the night, she walked out to the kitchen and made a cup of coffee. Zach had already crashed for the night but had let her know before he went to bed that Kenny had scarfed down three slices of pizza after swimming at Trip's house before he'd gotten sick.
She suspected he hadn't caught a bug but had overdone it on the greasy food after playing hard. The same thing would happen when he was younger and overindulged while at birthday parties for his friends.
For how much she believed her sons were growing up. Some things proved to her that they were still children, and she had to remind them to take it easy. She suspected Kenny would wake up in the morning, right as rain and full of energy.
She sat down at the table.
Unlike her sons, she couldn't sleep. Trip had taken her by surprise, asking her and the kids to move in with him.
That next step in their relationship had never entered her mind. She was just now accepting that they'd worked out the rules and figured out they wanted to only see each other.
Of course, she was falling in love with him.
She imagined spending her days with him, her nights with him. The boys loved having a man around who paid attention to them.
Trip quietly gave them confidence. He never treated them like babies who needed to be pampered and protected. He encouraged them to be brave and try new things.
A great personality that he'd shown her several times as he taught both kids to ride a dirt bike, flip into the swimming pool, and encouraged
