to another. “Check the Engine Chamber to see if anyone is here.”

Now was Jack’s chance to act fast and be able to get into the Engine Chamber room. He pulled out his phone and used a holographic predictor camera feature on it, to view at a particular obtuse angle, to see if one of the AI militants was heading his way without sticking his head out from the corner of the hallway. With this holographic camera perspective, he saw two AI militants approaching and a couple of them opening the Engine Chamber blast doors. He waited patiently as the nearby ones came closer to the corner of the hallway.

“Wait for it….” As he said staring at his phone intensely for the next 10 seconds.

“Access granted!” the Engine Chamber blast door spoke aloud.

In a rush forward movement, Jack took out his plasma heated knives along with a plasma pistol as he slid on the hallway floor, cutting through the legs of AI militant while blasting their heads off. He struggled to fight one of them off, who grabbed his hand holding the pistol, as he saw the blast door about to shut. Jack steadied himself and stepped onto the AI militant’s knee as a steppingstone and sliced off his head with his plasmatic heated blue fiery knife. As he saw the blast door closing, he saw more and more militants rushing towards him shooting fiery plasma blasts.

Running wearily and nervously, Jack got hit by a couple of plasma blasts that penetrated his clothing, heating his arm. He yelled in pain as he got a burnt spot and bled a little. Luckily, it was not a deep burn and it would heal eventually. This blast that he got penetrated by was ionic compounded, meaning it had metal alloys in it along with the blue fiery plasma heat to it. The 27th century banned plasma powered weapons that could incinerate people entirely, along with many other strong biological weapons that could even wipe out planets entirely. The blast he was hit by was not severe enough to burn off his skin entirely, but luckily, he was wearing his plasma proof vest that he got from the armory to mainly protect his chest.

The blast door was about 75% percent closed, as he rolled on the ground to make it inside the Engine Chamber in time before it shutdown behind him. He witnessed a couple of AI militants looking at him as he was laying there on the ground in the Engine Chamber itself inelegantly.

“What’s up?” Jack jokingly said as he his raised magnum and shot the militant’s head off while dodging plasmatic blasts by doing a backwards somersault. He threw his fiery blue plasma knife towards the other militant as he dodged it, which distracted him from the fact that Jack quickly withdrew his magnum blasting him off as the knife fell to the very grounds of the Engine Chamber.

The Engine Chamber consisted of two cylindrical fiery blue powered sources which showed the main source of fuel for the entire Freighter. The Engine room was the size of a football field, spanning with its cylinders of blue fiery plasmatic energy along with magnetism to also help power the Freighter. The chamber had the cylinders below the walking platform, so it would not intervene with anyone walking nearby. The blue essence of energy flowed quaintly in a particular fashion as if it were gel or sea like viscosity to it, although it was simple blue fiery energy.

Jack steadily laid denotators around the cylindrical tubes, making sure they were not noticeable, before more AI militants came in. He set each timer he laid out through the Freighter for 10 minutes but did not initiate the countdown yet. The detonators were metallic and had a blue neon glow, with the digital 10:00 minute countdown on it. The blast door suddenly opened with more AI militants coming into the room, luckily, they were only a few, as Jack hid behind the blue fiery powered cylinders within the chamber. He was breathing heavily.

The AI militants saw a couple of their own comrades destroyed into pieces by Jack earlier on and suspected that he was still in the chamber. Deep down, he was thinking that not too many of these militants would be after him since they were preoccupied with the invasion and the Freighter was unlikely to be hijacked by a human being. He raised his EMP grenades as he saw militants slowly looking around the room bit by bit.

THUD! ZAP!

An EMP grenade lay right by the militants as it unleashed its electric shock energy in a meter radius. The AI militants did not fully turn off by this EMP, instead they were not able to function their AI interface fully, which gave Jack the upper hand to be able to take them down. Striking with a kick as he jumped from the top of the cylindrical engine, he sliced off the militant while pulling out his iconic compounded plasmatic shotgun, which had metallic alloys attached to it within the plasma blast. He blasted a few of them one by one with fragments of iconic metal compounds within the blue fiery blasts of the futuristic shotgun that penetrated them. As he stood there, thinking all of them were taken down, a sudden knock to the head made Jack fall to the ground, but not fully unconscious.

He struggled as he crawled on the very floors of the Engine Chamber, with his head hurting from that hilt of the rifle by the AI militant. They must have been programmed to capture both Jay Lemer and Jack Walker alive due to their involvement on stopping Kimon or Silver Ny’s invasion back in 2999, Jack thought. As he crawled, the AI militant pointed his gun to Jack’s head as he rose. Before he could aim the crosshairs at Jack’s head, making his guess wrong that they were going to keep
