“Now let’s use my backup utilityand download every temporary internet file on the hard drive,” Samsaid, eager to unearth more for my benefit. “This will show thewebsites she went to, and, if we’re lucky, the web-based emails.”This search took about a half hour and when it was done, Samtransferred the files to my office computer. I then paid him, thanked him for his time, showed him out, and hurried back to mycomputer, preparing myself for what these pages might reveal. Ishould have prepared more.
There were approximately fivethousand web pages, and though a lot of them were pages I’dvisited, just as many were not. As I began to search through them, only about one in five were readable and at the top of each page, its website address was displayed, along with the date the site wasviewed. Slowly working my way through, one of the first significantdiscoveries I made was Audrey’s visit to dating sites suchas “Jewish Singles,” “Fast Cupid,”and “Nerve.com,”all made exactly five days after we closed on ourCalifornia house. Though she only browsed the first two, sheactually joined Nerve.com, a site that also happenedto be the most sexually explicit of all the dating sites. On it washer profile, complete with R-rated answers to most of the questionsabout herself and the types of people she was looking for. Audrey'sanswers clearly made her popular, because she received over ahundred inquiries in just thirty days. One hundred new potentialvictims. Obviously satisfied, she then visited a page that asked ifshe wanted to delete her profile, Lady_Audrey_3.
I printed these pages, believing they would go a longway in helping my divorce case. Five days after we closed on a homeof which she believed she would be entitled to half of the over$200,000 in equity, Audrey's work was done and she was on the prowlfor her next victim. I continued my search, disgusted andangry.
In addition to the dating sites, there were visits to Continental and Southwest Airlines, withreservation requests for New Year’s 2007, then March and April2008. The mystery as to the location from which Audrey made hercalls to me on New Year's Eve was not revealed. Audrey could havebeen out of state, or at a local hotel. Since she drove to meet mein Boynton the next afternoon, the latter was more probable. However, New York City was only a three hour plane rideaway...
Audrey often visitedExpedia.com, at whichshe had three different accounts, all with different usernames:lady_audrey6, audrey_munson1, and lady_audrey5. Audrey looked morelike a stay-at-home travel agent than a stay-at-home mom, arrangingmultiple flights to Chicago, California, Las Vegas, and New Yorkfor herself and her girls, answering the call of business. Audreyperformed her job well. Each account tracked to a different city.Perhaps she kept them separate so she could bill the pimps in eachcity for the airfares, who would in turn charge the tricks. Also, her home page at log-in was the Bank of Florida, further evidencingher money obsession. More interesting though, was the fact that shevisited the website for First Community Bank, a bank not disclosedto me or my lawyer. This would be another company to add to thesubpoena list for account information.
After a few hours, I decided to take a break and walkaway from the computer. I headed downstairs, grabbed a bottledwater from the refrigerator, and stared out the window overlookingour empty backyard. It was December, and the day had been a chilly58 degrees, though the house felt colder. I unrolled my sleeves andslowly walked back up the stairs.
I continued my search, beginningto realize how much I was punishing myself. I knew what she was,and what she had been in our marriage, but being confronted withmore and more details was not helping me to move on, despiteneeding to strengthen my case. And then, completely by surprise, Icame upon the most difficult discovery yet. The bank statements, the deposit slips, the visits to the dating websites while we werestill married, and perhaps even the discovery of Audrey’sprostitution were easier to bear than this. In her email log, I found Audrey’s love emails toRoyce.
Lots of them.

August 5, 2007: During our engagement.
I know you love to be a “control freak but you don’tset the rules. I will talk to whoever I feel is necessary tostraighten out the lies you tell people about me & us. That isso wrong for you to do but it makes you look good… I guess to saythese things. We will never be done because it’s out of our hands. All of this was your problem… you should have told her long ago…you hurt everyone with your lies & cheating. You need help. Iwill always love you & we will always be part of one another(whether you like it or not). I am so angry & frustrated withyou right now & have nothing positive to say. I try to keep mycalls & comments upbeat, but inside me is nothing butnegativity towards the way you handle your relationships. You canrun for now but I’ll be back one day… because we belong together…whether we like it or not.
