That put her at ease pretty quickly, and within a couple of minutes her hot thighs were no longer squeezed tight together, which was a sign that she was nervous, instead separated slightly, with the leather taut on her knees.
I then asked her what movie she wanted to go see, and when she told me which one, as well as the time it started, I realized we had a good forty-five minutes to waste before then.
“Want to get ice cream beforehand?”
She looked at me in surprise, only for a big grin to light up her face. “Yeah, I’d love to.”
I knew that a lot of places were going to be busy on a Friday, but I tried to pick out a spot where I didn’t think there would be as many people. And I was right, although it might have just been because it was still early in the evening.
After I parked, we went inside, with her getting a cup of chocolate ice cream with chunks of frozen peanut butter in it, while I got a cup of mint chocolate chip. She actually wanted both, but wasn’t crazy about them being in the same container, so I told her I’d get one and share with her.
Man, did she love that.
We then went outside to sit at a table, with the only other group being a woman with four kids, all of them chatting up a storm, bickering here and there, and enjoying their own frozen treats. The tables were circular, designed with three stationary bench seats at each one, which were just short enough to not make it very comfortable for two people to sit next to each other – at least, not unless you wanted to be squished together.
However, when I sat down, I saw a moment of indecision in her eyes, prompting me to scoot over a little with a smile, leaving it up to her. She seemed nervous as she sat next to me, and even more so when I carefully wrapped my arm around her waist.
“That alright?” I asked quietly.
She nodded, unable to speak, her face flushed.
I was watching her carefully to make sure she wasn’t giving off any signs she didn’t want my arm around her, but then she relaxed just a little and leaned more into me. I suspected her body was just overreacting to everything because she was inexperienced.
I could still recall the first time I’d ever kissed someone, literally a lifetime ago – my bottom lip was trembling uncontrollably like it was having a spasm. And the first time I got naked with a woman, my body was shaking so badly that it was embarrassing. Granted, she thought it was cute, but I definitely didn’t feel cute.
Nevertheless, I couldn’t wait to see if Heidi would have those same kinds of responses.
Since she seemed to have completely forgotten about the ice cream sitting in front of her, I used the small spoon that came with our orders and scooped out some of the mint chocolate, holding it up for her to take a bite.
She looked up at me with a warm smile touching her lips before she opened up, only to grab her own spoon and scoop out some of her chocolate and peanut butter, holding it up to my mouth with a grin on her face.
“Mmm, this is pretty good,” I commented, using my spoon to dip into her bowl. “You should try some,” I added with a grin.
She opened her mouth again, this time keeping her lavender eyes locked on mine, trusting me to get it in the right spot. Damn it was so hot.
We continued to eat like that, with her spoon only ever going in my mouth, while mine only went in hers. I then decided I was done about halfway through, and tried to start up another casual conversation while I continued to feed her bites of both, holding her tight against me. Her head was now resting against my upper chest, while my cheek rested against the top of her blonde hair.
She kept all her answers pretty short, and I suspected she was much more focused on the physical sensation of me holding her, rather than the conversation.
When I got to the very bottom of both bowls, she finally took the spoon from me to finish them off by scraping the sides. I went ahead and pulled out my phone to check the time, before giving her a little squeeze and asking if she was ready to hit the theater.
She agreed so we disposed of our trash and got back in the car. We hadn’t held hands yet, but I figured I might try for that during the movie. When we arrived, hesitation reappeared in her eyes. I suggested that we could do something else, but she only shook her head, refusing to budge from her seat.
Wanting to try to lighten the mood, I decided to be playful. “I know exactly what you need,” I teased, enjoying her confused expression. “We’re on a date, so of course I have to open the door for you.” I then got out and did just that, helping her out of the car and wrapping my arm around her shoulders as we walked up to the place.
She seemed to relax a little after I bought both our tickets, and even more when we were waiting in line to get popcorn – something she had to have. She seemed appalled when I asked her if she wanted anything else, as if there were no other options beyond popcorn and a drink. And it seemed that teasing her about it was really helping her feel more comfortable.
When we got to the room for our movie, we didn’t have to worry about picking out seats, because we’d already done so when we got our tickets. This place was pretty fancy compared to some, and
