As Jack’s head began to refocus, he connected his mobile phone to the interface of the Sparrow, where the HUD displayed the timer on his phone with 5 seconds remaining. As he quickly pressed buttons, levers, and pedals to fire up the Sparrow, his mind was fully familiar with every single button, interface, and mechanism after installing the EPCCD into his mind. The blue fiery engine began to start up, as he thrust the Sparrow outwards out of the Freighter, as fiery red explosions of ignition began with loud explosions.
BOOOOM!
As his Sparrow flew in the sky escaping the engulfed flames of the Freighter, he began to laugh hysterically. He flew towards the Tri-Needle Obelisk building that stood nearby the Empire State Building. He knew deep down that the Stellar-Beings were gonna be fine on their own, since he was seeking to destroy the Tri-Needle tower, which was about to stop the Earth’s axial rotation all together.
Chapter 9
Planetarium Traveler X1
Date: June 26th, 2021 – 9:12 AM
From a distance, the Stellar-Beings were on the platform dock by the bay doors of the Planetarium Traveler, alongside Sandra. They stared at the Freighter exploding as they saw a Sparrow coming out of the engulfed flames along with the vehicles in the Hangar Bay falling out due to the Freighter’s tilted angle of explosive damage. The entire Freighter exploded in smithereens due to the powerful blue fiery engine cells, thus the shattered pieces of it submerged and simply sank deep into the Upper Bays of Manhattan. They all smiled, in hope that Jack actually survived the explosion of the Freighter and that he was not kidding in the first place.
“Damn,” Luis spoke after a few seconds of silence. “Can this guy not get anymore badass than ever?”
“Wait…” Aiden spoke as he saw where the Sparrow was heading. “Where is he going?”
“I think I know where,” Luis spoke as he pointed at the Tri-Needle Obelisk tower. “I have a feeling he’s gonna try to destroy that tower in Manhattan.”
“Yes,” Allison said. “I’m sure that’s what his intention is. I did not really get the chance to read his mind, I could not do it. The way he said to go to me, really showed how much he cared about us rather than impatiently use me to read Morales’ mind.”
“Indeed,” Aiden spoke. “Jack really did show his true colors out there. He saved us, rather than abandon us, even though he did not know us at all. Too bad he lost vital information. We gotta infiltrate this mothership, like he said. Don’t worry about him right now.”
They looked around and saw in the sky, a few remaining Sparrows, that were above Manhattan or at the edge of it by the Upper Bays. The air vehicles were coming from the Mothership, the adjacent end of it, as Sandra and Roxanne looked at each other, floating away from the four.
“Where you guys going?” Veronica asked. “Roxanne, you owe me an explanation of your abilities later. You should have told me about this.”
“Alright,” Roxanne spoke. “I’m sorry. Anyways, besides birthday already ruined. Jay and Jack have told me and Sandra, that we gotta scout the skies, we are the only ones that can do it. You guys gotta go on your own and infiltrate this ship. Save Jay, tell him we say hi.”
“Alright,” Luis said as the two flew high up in the skies, heading towards the new air vehicles from the Traveler itself. “First things first. How do we get in? Allison?”
Allison acknowledged Luis, trying to focus on the dock’s blast door to open but it was not budging at all. She was putting pressure on her head as she kept trying, she complained, “Its not working for some odd reason.”
“Maybe you can’t imagine the inside of this vessel,” Aiden suggested. “This is a futuristic design like Jack said. Maybe it is Stellar-Being proof, but highly doubt it. Not sure though.”
Luis spoke, “Did any of you hear what Jack literally said to us as we got here? Let me guess, none of you admire his badassery.”
“What did he say?” Aiden spoke.
Luis facepalmed and headed towards the control panel for the blast door, “Let me do the honours.” As he approached the control panel, he excitedly mashed buttons upon buttons with the message repeating “ACCESS DENIED” over five times in a row.
“What the hell are you doing?” Allison spoke.
“You guys didn’t listen either,” Veronica sighed. “Luis is trying to get the AI militants’ attention by attempting to open this entrance for crying our loud. Allison quick, cloak us if you can, before they come!”
Luis stopped mashing buttons on the blast door control panel, as he and the other three stood by the sides of the door, prepping themselves to attack the AI militants. Allison began to imagine herself along with Luis and Veronica being entirely invisible as they stared at the solid metal blast door that was a mix of navy blue and rich Sherwood dark green, which was blending in with the rest of the ship’s colour. They waited patiently for a couple of minutes, until the door itself blasted open going upwards.
WUMPTH!
The blast door rose vertically upwards, revealing an entrance with a few AI militants coming onto the docked platform of the Planetarium Traveler X1. There were about five AI militants scanning the environment to detect lifeforms by heat signatures. They pointed their guns but were wondering why there were heat signatures while
