KNOWING

What do we do when romance is replaced with everyday life?
Do we stay for the long haul?
What do we do when love becomes a nagging wife?
Do we run somewhere when a more exciting someone begins to call?

What do we do when your husband falls short?
Do we look for excuses to leave?
What do we do when he forgets what you taught?
Do we now stop our love and deceive?

What do we say when you no longer feel?
Do we know that this is part of the plan?
What do we know when our life becomes just to real?
Do we stay? And just wish we ran

What is this game of life, love and your heart?
Is it boring and somewhat plain?
What do we say when your love wants to part?
Do we allow it to leave in such disdain?

What have people today missed the clues?
Love and romance goes through some phases
We don’t always honeymoons we sometimes have blues
But if we stay we will see the different love places

We have the beginning when all is so great and fine
We have the next place where we start to feel safe
We then go to the point when you feel like mine
We have each others heart not to replace

But as time goes on and on we see some different things
We notice the flaws we once missed
The things that we loved we now can not bare is that what love brings?
We stop doing the nice things and long to be again kissed

With passion that seems to have gone
We slip into mundane everyday chores
We miss looking at your partner in awe for so long
We think love is replaced with everything that bores

But if we play this game better than this
We wont see what we have missed out on
We will see that sometimes mundane can be bliss
It can be a love like a foundation so strong

We can take the knowing each other so well
Is a medal that will always be gold
Finishing each others sentences knowing what they want to tell
We can look at the faults they were always there we were just never told

Boring can be replaced with knowing..

Knowing that he has your interests at heart always and more
Knowing that she does things just how you like it
Knowing that he knows who you are to the core
Knowing that she knows you better than you and you love it

Knowing that smile to know your alright
Knowing the frown to know you’ve done wrong
Knowing that touch of you hand so tight
Knowing that mistake you made is now gone

Knowing that you can just be yourselves only
Knowing that she loves you even though you can be a bore
Knowing that he keeps you warm when you feel so lonely
Knowing that his pride gets hurt at the score

So yes the honeymoon will fall
The rose will always wilt and die
But what replaces is better than all
The fake romance is replaced with a long lasting love that doesn’t lie.

Fitting each other so well
Like a jigsaw piece by piece knowing each other how to play
Knowing the good and the bad and being able to tell
That you love each other inside out day by day by day.
