We were friends before all of this;
There wasn't a care in the world, and ignorance was bliss.
We were equal, no one higher than the other;
You two were family: a sister and a brother.
But then the world spun out of control
When you gave my "sister" your heart in its whole.
She was excited the first little while;
I was glad for her and managed to smile.
You gave her your love and a ring on her hand;
While I tried to take it all in and still stand.
Soon I was pushed aside, away I was thrown;
I sat in the corner all alone.
We still were friends, but I don't know how;
Niether of you say "us" or "we" now.
All I heard was talk of love;
I was below 'cause you were above.
No one saw the pain in me;
A mask and a smile is what they see.
I called for help, but you didn't listen;
You didn't even notice I was missing.
Ignorance is what drove me insane;
After you left me, I was not the same.
Finally, I could not take it, so I stood on a ledge;
Closed my eyes, and slipped off the edge.
