Dream On

Wake up! all the stars are bright
As I roll over in my bed
Dreaming of the one I love
Pictures floating through my head

But you have been gone six months
And everyone says I should move on
But they don’t know, you’re here with me
In my mind, floating till the dawn

Watch the tide fall and rise
Make believe your still by my side
So when I lay my body down tonight
I can see you in my mind

I will dream on
Pretending I’m not alone
When the morning comes
I know I’m on my own

Sweet Serenity

Little pale pills are so serene
A bit of sanity in a medicine
The look on my face was grim
It’s been replaced by a grin

Bittersweet memories, sweet serenity
Another element of my misery
You are a walking contradiction
Severely lacking any convictions

Superstition, premonition, truth
I should hurt more than you
Its all past, done and dead
I think it should all be in my head

Lead and venom in my veins
Little pills will cure my pain
Coping with living life everyday
Suffering in almost every way

My room is my sanctuary
Rest in peace, sweet serenity

How to Feel Worthless or Die Trying

Say words that add up to something
‘Cause now your lips flap for nothing
Your speech is falling on deaf ears
And you’re blurring so much that I can’t hear
My own heart beating
My poor veins bleeding
To you, my time is simply worthless
And when it’s my turn, I’m just speechless
You take up all the oxygen in this room
Until this place, some day, will be my tomb
Bury me in my fears
Rob me of my tears
Bleed me dry of all my emotions
Just to leave me with your notion
You are far better off
