God’s Beacon
Holding on tight to fantasy
I’m losing my sanity
It just seems better, my fantasy.
But I say goodbye to my dear sanity.
Why does the rooster crow my name?

Reality is like a sharp thorn
It tears me apart
It slams into me like a big horn.
You cannot get around it or dart.
Why does the rooster crow my name?

Feeling as thou my heart was ripped out
I search in vain for it
But I am stout.
I cannot find it, I throw a fit.
Why does the rooster crow my name?

Running away seems not to help
It goes in one ear and right out the other
But I still feel as unimportant as sea kelp.
Am not treasured, even by my own mother.
Why does the rooster crow my name?

So even thou it hurt
Someone ended my life
Everyone was curt.
No one even gave some strife.
Why did the rooster crow my name?

The rooster crowed my name
When there is no love
How could he try and take blame.
So the rooster sent it to God above.
Why did the rooster crow my name?

I stand by God in heaven
No longer in pain or unloved
No man can say what is even.
For I am now God’s beacon.
That is why the rooster crowed my name.
