Have You Been to the Beach in Winter?

Have you been to the beach in winter?
All is quiet and still except for the surf …
Waves crashing against the smooth sand of the shoreline
The sand undisturbed … we are quite alone
In the cold winter wind … holding hands, huddled together
As we walk in the chill, our love the only warmth.
We draw a heart in the wet sand and adorn it with our initials.
The surf will soon erase the heart in the sand
But not even death can erase the love in our heart.

Have you been to the beach in winter?
All is quiet and still except for the surf …
Waves crashing against the smooth sand of the shoreline
The sand undisturbed … I am quite alone
In the cold winter wind … hands in pockets, shoulders hunched
As I walk in the chill, there is no warmth present.
No reason to draw a heart in the sand, it would be needless.
Death erases more than the surf ever could …
The warmth of the human touch, but never love.

Sad Snow

The fallen snow reminds me
And I can’t escape the tears
My broken heart remembers
My love’s been gone for years.

The sadness wraps around me
When the world is white with snow.
And once again I wonder,
Why did he have to go?

It’s good to have a soulmate
But now I’m on my own.
Together we were perfect
And now I’m all alone.

December Snow

The falling snow is silent
On this cold December night
As the world is covered
In a blanket, fluffy white.
The Christmas lights on houses
Take on a special glow
Against the perfect background
Of the softly falling snow.

The Last Time

The first day of the New Year closed quietly.
It was cold outside, time for bed.
We snuggled close, and kissed goodnight
A kiss of love and affection,
The kiss of a long married couple,
Comfortable and content.
Falling gently into peaceful slumber
Safe and warm, touching but not embracing.
What awakened me?
The silence of the falling snow … perhaps.
I arose and walked to the guest room
Not wanting to disturb my love,
So peacefully sleeping.
I gazed out the window at a world gone white.
Immersed in the winter wonderland,
I felt his arms embrace me.
I folded my arms over his,
Leaning my head against his chest

He rested his cheek on my hair
As I backed into his embrace.
We stood together in silence looking at the snow.
We needed no words as I turned to face him,
Lifting my head to look into his eyes as our lips met.
The passion of our youth,
Sweetened by years of love and familiarity
Took us on a journey into ecstacy.
There, spontaneously, we made pure sweet love,
For the last time ...
In the surreal silence of a world
Blanketed in pure white snow.

Seven Years

Without my love for seven years
I’ve lived each day and faced my fears.
Loneliness learned to endure
Traveled solo that’s for sure.
Surrounded by my many friends
The loneliness still never ends.
My face was smiling everyday,
The pain inside just seemed to stay.
Only one who’s been there too
Knows what I am going through.
Without my love for seven years
Learning to suppress my tears.
I miss the arms that held me tight
The touch, the kiss, the sweet ‘good night.’
I think it’s time to make a change
Attitude … I’ll rearrange.
My smiles I really need to feel
From within … they must be real.
There’s someone waiting for me yet.
I’ll love again … without regret.

Fainting

The gray void surrounds me.
I am slipping into an unconcious state.
Falling, falling … voices calling my name.
I hear but do not respond … the fog envelopes me.
There is a safe haven here … do I resist, or fall?
He catches me from the other side …
He pushes me back, I open my eyes,
I see fear in their faces, it was not time to go.

Winter

Clear blue skies, crisp cold air
Winter morn, a time to share.
Under the covers, cozy and warm
Watching the snow, the Earth adorn.
Feeling the warmth, holding tight
Snuggled up, it feels so right.

Spring

The budding trees of palest green
Tiny blossoms being seen.
The Earth takes on a varied hue
Soft pastels and skies of blue.
Love and romance fill the air
Spring bursts forth as Lady Fair.

Summer

Summer brings the sultry heat
Ocean sand will burn your feet.
The sun is hot, the water cool
Everyone is in the pool.
Vacations we won’t soon forget
But never remember the summer sweat!

Fall

Gently falling to the ground
Red and gold leaves all around
The wind is whistling through the trees
Air starts chilling with the breeze
Fall presents an awesome view
Enjoyed by lovers two by two.

Lovely Fascination

What a lovely fascination,
The great escape, anticipation.
Not a moment shall we waste
Before sweet kisses we will taste.
Passions rising, we’re on fire
Flaming with intense desire.

What a lovely fascination,
Without a moment’s hesitation.
Kissing deeply, feel the heat …
Indeed our hearts have skipped a beat.
Holding to each other tight
We both know this isn’t right.

What a lovely fascination
Floating on a cloud … sensation.
Higher, higher we both go
What we feel, and what we know
Supressing conflict deep inside
As the cresting wave we ride.

What a lovely fascination
Fabulous imagination!
Lying in each others arms
Basking in the other’s charms.
Yes, we know this isn’t right
But it has been a perfect night.

A Dream

A smile plays gently on my lips
Vibrations tingling, neck to hips.
My thoughts of him build such a fire
I tremble with intense desire.
Thoughts of kisses and his touch
Knowing what I want so much.
His lips on mine, a soft caress
His fingers start the slow undress.
Touches on my breasts, my skin
Ignite the burning fire within.

I think of pleasures yet to be
Together on the endless sea.
Our bodies move in perfect time
Passions building, so sublime.
Fantasy consumes our world
So much more to be unfurled.

Tongues are dancing, we explore
Locked together, wanting more.
Fingers trailing down his face
Loving every sweet embrace.

Touching, teasing places tender
Ready for complete surrender.
I want to feel him deep inside
As the cresting wave we ride.
Together satisfaction seek
Together we will reach the peak.
Juices flow like the rising sea
Hot and wet inside of me.
Savor every single minute
It’s a dream and we are in it!

New Years Eve

Is anyone at home but me?
Another shot of reality!
I had plans but they fell through
Something I can’t get used to.

Sometimes that’s just how it is
My plans fail or maybe his.
After all I’m tempting fate
I know he has another mate.

I put myself in this position
Thwarting marital tradition.
Don’t allow the satisfaction
To become the main attraction.

I need to stop and call my bluff,
Now and then is not enough.
I’ll never find my perfect mate
If I just sit at home and wait.

Affairs just lock you in a room
Waiting for impending doom.
It’s New Years Eve, no one to kiss,
No one to toast or even miss.

Never have played second string
Now I realize the sting.
Call a halt to fascination
With all the anticipation.

I hope we didn’t go so far
That the end will leave a scar.
I need to back out of his life
So he can spend it with his wife.

Soon I’ll welcome a New Year
All alone, without a tear.
I know I’ve made the right decision
It’s not open for revision.

My New Years Day

A totally different kind of day
Non traditional in every way!
Spent it with a dear old friend
Thought the fun would never end!

Didn’t cook the black eyed peas
Shake us up a Cosmo please!
No stewed tomato or collard green
Was on the table to be seen!

Didn’t watch the Rose Bowl game
A different day, just not the same!
Instead we went out to a show
Shared memories of those we know.

We talked and really laughed a lot
Especially about the movie plot!
To the script we did relate
The actors seemed to share our fate.

The day progressed into the night
The bright full moon was quite a sight!
It rained and then the stars came out
We were still out and about!

Got home and had another guest
Put my decision to the test.
Into his arms I was driven
My lonely New Years Eve forgiven.

Kisses and his warm embrace
Somehow, my fears and doubts erase.
Again I know this can’t be right
As he left before midnight.

When I kissed him at the door
I knew that I still wanted more.
I need someone to share my life
Someone who doesn’t have a wife.

No matter how much I really care
I need a man I don’t have to share.
This affair is just not good
Not doing all the things I should.

I have got to find resolve
Around him my life can’t revolve.
My head says No, my body, Yes!
I have really caused a mess!
