Understanding

I mummer softly in your ear words of love,
Whilst you sigh with deep emotion.
Your mind lies elsewhere,
Somewhere far away.
I try to ask what you are thinking,
But you avoid any questions.
I start to weep for fear of the unthinkable,
That your heart lies with another.
You try to comfort and hold me,
But I want to know the answer.
Who? I ask my eyes filled with tears,
You answer softly; there is no one but you.
I look in your eyes and I see nothing but love and truth,
And I understand, then, that you do love me.
And I sleep next to you forever,
My guardian angel is found

Gone

Prancing through meadows of flowers,
Singing songs of love.
You watch her, and think to yourself,
She is beautiful.
But hurt lies in her heart.
As you watch her, she falls in the flowers,
Happy and joyous.
She beckons you over, smiling.
You walk to her and sit in the soft green grass.
You ask, what is it?
She gestures to the flowers and keeps humming.
Her voice is like liquid, her eyes like honey,
Her hair is silk and her face is soft.
You caress her cheek lovingly,
And she looks at you softly,
Her glassy eyes follow the movement of your hands,
As you glide them softly up her arms at to her face.
Flowers are handed to you as she stands up again.
She wants to play, you hear.
Running to the trees at full speed you watch her come and go.
And then you are looking at nothing.
She is gone, just a figment of your imagination.
And you weep softly,
Knowing that she will not return.

Pain

Tear cascade down the gorgeous face,
And you know that you have hurt her.
Your words stung to the heart,
And you watch as she falls to the floor,
Weeping tear of hurt, of a broken heart.
You stare at the pitiful creature you call a woman,
Your woman,
And you start to weep with her,
Imagining the pain you have caused her.
She looks at you with wet eyes and asks,
Why do you cry?
You answer, your face in your palms,
I have hurt the one I truly love,
And now I know she is gone forever.
You are suddenly held in a tight embrace
As her loving arms wrap themselves around you.
You are shocked still as she cries over your shoulder.
She says through tears of emotion,
I will never leave you, because I love you.
You look at her then; all pain is gone from her eyes.
You hold her close, her warmth pressed tight against you.
She sighs through her now silent tears
And rests her head on your chest.
And you know you are forgiven.

Love

Wind flows through her hair,
Like a silky ribbon caught.
You run your fingers through it,
As you lay in the grass with her.
There is peace hanging on the air,
Seeming to radiate from her.
You think to yourself,
Who am I,
To deserve someone so pure and rich.
She is a maiden, not yet broken,
But I feel as if I have tainted her,
With knowledge unforgiving.
She smiles to you, and you heart swells,
With love, passion, and hurt.
She thinks, this man,
Has saved me from everything.
You lay there in the grass with her, staring at the sky.
Its silvery clouds fly lazily by as she turns to you.
She says something that neither had said yet,
Not to each other.
She leans in closer and whispers in your ear,
I love you.

Hurt
Days pass by without me knowing,
You have shut me off.
I don’t know what you’re thinking,
Or why you’re always gone.
It hurts me inside,
Not to see your face.
It hurts me outside,
When you yell to my face.
I try to hide it,
But I’m scared.
One day I am gone.
You don’t know where I could be.
You worry, you fret,
But there is no sign of me yet.
Then one day, as you walk through the woods,
A flash of white catches your eye.
It’s my favorite dress,
Torn to shreds.
As you look on you find pieces of the past.
My journal, your coat.
Then you come to a stream.
You stare into it as tears slip down your face.
And what peeks up at you?
Your dear lover, Caroline’s face.

I weep.
I cry.
I feign.
I die.
But nothing,
Can keep you away.
You follow my spirit.
My soul unforgiving.
Flowers dance around you.
As you sit in our meadow.
You weep for me.
You’re dear Jane.
As you look up,
Towards my Favorite woods.
You see me.
Dancing in the trees.
And you know now.
That I am free.

He's Gone

Depressed,

He's gone.

Alone.

He's gone.

Closed in.

He's gone.

Surrounded.

He's gone.

Smothered.

He's gone.

Apologies.

He's gone.

Deression.

He's gone.

A Broken Heart

What do you do,
When a loved one leaves,
And you anger builds up,
Like a boiling black sea?
Let me give you a list...

Punch a wall,
Till your knuckles run,
Deep crimson waterfalls.

Kick a puppy,
In the face,
Till its head caves in.

Smack the person,
To the ground,
Let them drag you with them.

Break a heart,
two or three,
Watch them cr alone.

Sit back,
With a coffee,
And watch the world crumble.

See, life doesn't give you want you want,
Weather it be weath, a family, or love.
So when that person decides to tear you down,
And crush your heart again,
Go follow my list of things to do,
The rest will follow in the end.
