I suppose that you are thinking after having read the title of this book that you will gain in wisdom and become a more intelligent person if you should happen to read it. Zadok states that you will!
We all wish to be less dumb and less ignorant than we are. Some are less dumb and ignorant now; other people will stay dumb and ignorant or become more so, especially those illustrious people we call politicians. More of ignorance is less of smartness and the less dumb you are shows your smartness. But who can claim to be smart and wise in the inane age we find ourselves? That is why my declamation that I possess wisdom in an unwise age is nothing more than stating that I am smarter than other people are dumb. There is a flotilla of extremely dumb people floating about, just breathing air and taking up space. But you and I are not members of that crew.
Let us then get on with this witlessly wise material that most would call a book and a few would call nothing but mumbo-jumbo. Remember though, those who call this mumbo-jumbo are less wise than me and dumber than you. Do these people even know wisdom when it is staring them in the face?
Turn the pages and take a wisdom-filled adventure with me…..
Theology is man’s attempt to study God, to learn of Him, to know Him, and to abide by the ethical and moral principles as espoused by Him.
Man, however, is at a disadvantaged when he attempts to study God. God is all-knowing; man knows only in part. God is all-powerful; man in many instances appears to be powerless. God is omnipresent and omnibenevolent; man is not and never will be. God far transcends the ken a man. How then can man know God through study?
Although God is incognizable, unknowable in essence, He is always present and does provide a minute amount of His power, love, and wisdom to those who seek Him, to those who desire to learn of Him. Thus theology, the study of God, is a rewarding pursuit.
A rewarding pursuit? What can possible be a reward for attempting to know what man, in essence, can never fully understand? Peace, a share in the profound love of God, familial and societal stability are a few of the rewards stemming from engaging in theology and the praxis thereof.
I, Zadok, have been engaged in the process of the study of theology for over 30 years. I have earned a Master of Divinity, Doctor of Divinity, Doctor of Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology. A desire to learn of God is important, is it not? However, I also know that all the degrees in the world mean little to God if a person does not have resident in the heart encompassing love. Without love knowledge is useless. Why? Because love is God.
I, Zadok, know of what I write. I am not presumptuous. God is real, as real as the words that you are reading on this page. God is Love. He is Truth. He is Wisdom. He is joy. And He wants you to know that He loves you, even though at times you appear to yourself and others as unlovable.
Read Zadok. Learn from what you read in the pages that follow. What is written stems from Truth. Place your trust in God, that higher power which is always knocking gently on the door of your mind.
Politician is a word derived from politic, an adjective in English which means wise. So a person can state that politicians are guys or gals who assert that wisdom is flowing out of their mouths. “Listen to me and do as I say, and all will be well with you” is their chanticleering drivel, their rooster crow. Well for one, I am not a hen and that boisterous brew is blarney.
The politicians in this day and age, at least in America, are not too politic in thinking that all people are dumber than they are and that if they crow like a rooster the hens in the roost will follow them and do their will. But I (and you will be too if you continue to read this book) am smarter than they are dumb. I will get to the grit of what I am attempting to convey.
We need politicians in order to gauge our wisdom, right? If politicians were politic would they not listen to people who are smarter than they? I possess immense wisdom (yes, I do). And since you are reading this book I take it that your wisdom is growing too, it is budding like tree leaves in spring. But do politicians attempt to become politic? The blather coming from their mouths astounds me for the stupidity shown. Why is America in the mess it is in today? Think about it. My wisdom will elucidate the cause.
Politicians, these impolitic leaders who prance before the public spewing their stupidity are feeding impolitic people, people dumber than are they (but we are not in that crew, right) falderal. What is more impolitic, doltish and overflowing with falderal than to indicate to the public that they have the nostrum to cure America’s economic woes when they don’t know, and do not care to listen to anyone who may be less dumb then are they? I ask you, do you know of any politician that does not think that he/she is less dumb than you or me, even though I am overflowing with wisdom and you shall soon be also? They have the answer to any ill, whether it is in economics, social policy or foreign policy.
But they don’t.
Politicians are no smarter than the people who elect them into office. Think about it. Politicians are reflective of the people who elect them. It cannot be any other way. If wise people elected wise people to represent them, would we not have wise, learned politicians that could and would solve problems in a wise and reflective way?
So, where does that leave us? America, as it appears, is overflowing with dolts. The Tea Party is rank. Republicans in office do not do service to their country. And Democrats bray like an ass and get very little done. This is all because they are reflective of a nation that has elected them. The bottom line: America is a nation of dolts and nincompoops—not a pretty assessment, but nonetheless true. When you point the finger at any politician, three fingers are pointing back at you.
So become wise. Read more, think more, and pay less attention to blathering politicians of any stripe. Read this book. You’ll be the wiser for it.
Religion is much like politics in that people have various attitudes as to how one can approach God. Essentially that is what religion is, an approach to God, a highway to the highest of truths.
There are various religions and branches of a religion since man as a whole cannot fathom the essential truth that is God. There are Hindus who follow many gods. Muslims follow their beliefs as to what or who is God. The beliefs of the Moslem are different than the attitudes of the Jew or Christian. Buddhists don’t follow a God but make their belief system into that which could be called a means to arrive at bliss, which is basically another term that can be interpreted to mean God, the final desti-nation, if you will, that is or leads to Truth.
Who is right? What religion is the true religion? I have thought this through and wisdom will relate the truth of this.
That which is eternal is God. Eternality means that time is not present, for time is the avenue of change. When a person is in time, that person sees change and does change. God does not change, so He cannot be in time. He is a reflection of time but not situated in time. God is timeless—there is no time in God.
What religion as practiced in this world recognizes the no time aspect of God? All religions touch on this aspect; however, there is not one religion that will take you to no time if practiced. Does that mean then that religion as practiced is useless? No. Why? One’s mind must be pure to the essence of life to arrive at the entrance of the road leading to eternity. A polluted mind overflowing with greed, hatred and ignorance cannot come to Eternity’s door. That door is closed to that person. Religion strives to clear the mind of man, to calm the mind, so that a man or woman’s mind can interpret
