chapter one- first day

Standing in the middle of 5 very strong football players I sigh. The leader of the 5 football jocks stepped into the circle, I suppose he is the quarterback. He was now in front of me with a playerish smirk, a smirk that only idiots fall for.

“New student,” he said with venom dripping from both words. I lift an eyebrow in questioning, but he just stands there nonmoving.

“School player,” I retorted. Great way to start off the first day of school Madison, I thought to myself rolling my eyes. The football players didn’t move nor did this player in front of me. There was only one way to get out of this, I slammed my fist into his gut causing all of the football players came towards me. I kicked the closest one to me in the chest and fought with the rest until the player and I were the only ones standing. Even so, he was holding his stomach because of my first hit, common I didn't hit that hard. After finally recovering from the blow he looked around at all the other football players who were moaning in pain. I felt a smirk play on my lips. After raking my hand through my hair, I look at the player with a devilish grin.

“Mr. Player what’s your name?” He looked at me in such hatred I thought he was going to make my last year of high school a living hell. Oh well, too late.

“Tristan,” he murmured then helped one of the football players up. When he surveyed all of his jocks on the floor something flashed in his eyes and he turned looking at me confused. Again I did the whole lift an eyebrow question thing.

“I’m Madison and I don’t like being out numbered,” I answered him before he could ask the obvious question ‘how did you do that.’ He still looked at me confused, that something that flashed in his eye before flickered again. He grabbed my wrist and I felt something I never felt before a spark. I pulled my wrist away, making him look even more dumbfounded. Holding his breath he took my wrist again and the same thing happened but this time he started dragging me away from the center of the school lot. Dragging me towards the side of the school I kept feeling sparks flow through me and my heart beating fast. I don’t like this I thought to myself. I'm aware of what it means to feel sparks between two werewolves. Slamming me against the wall of the school building Tristan stood in front of me with eyes determined to get something, I just don’t know what.

“What are you,” he asked pushing me against the wall even more so it felt like he was crushing me, but that wasn’t hurting me, what was hurting me was the look in his eye. Why did it hurt, I don't even know him. I shouldn't feel this way, then I thought to myself that if I shouldn't feel this way then don't. But, of course it wasn't that easy.

“Werewolf like you,” I answered softly. Tristan grabbed my arms and pushed me even harder onto the wall causing me to almost whimper in pain. Usually for a normal werewolf my age it wouldn't hurt for something like this to happen, but because of my circumstances it hurt more than it should. And for some reason that made him loosen his grip a little. Starring at me in fright I know why he was being harsh like this. He was the alpha of this territory.

“What are you doing here,” he asked almost nicely, but he was trying too much. I bit my lip from mentioning my abusing Alpha, or was Alpha. My parent’s couldn’t do anything about him abusing him because they were dead and the rest of the pack was afraid of him. Looking away from him I felt a tear fall from my eye and I ripped his hand off my arm just too quickly wipe it away. I can't let him see me like this, it's showing him my vulnerable side.

“Um, I…I… Err…,” I continued to say that until I made up a lie “I’m visiting my Great Aunt Linda.” He looked at me and right through my lie and pushed me against the wall even harder than any time before. I yelp softly, I don’t like showing my weakness, even so I still do.

“How does this hurt you,” he asked almost concernedly. I look away again and suck up all the pain pretending it wasn’t there. I used up all of my might to muster up strength to talk back.

“It doesn’t,” I replied my voice creaking, intending that I’m lying. Seeing right through the lie again he turned me around so now my face was facing the wall. I was confused to what he was doing, but then I felt him lift up my shirt. My eyes flew open even wider and I went to pull it down so he wouldn’t see the scars and because well why would I want a guy I don't know to lift up my shirt? He held my hand away from my shirt with one hand and with his other hand traced only a few of my scars.

“Is this why you’re here,” he screamed in hatred but I could tell it wasn't at me. Turning me around to face him I saw he was angry.

“Yes,” I admitted softly looking away from his mad glare. His hand reached for my cheek and I flinched but he continued and pulled my face to look at him. Pushing me slightly on the wall he leaned close to my face.

“Mr. Player don’t seduce me,” I pleaded sarcastically, ruining the moment for him. He sighed lightly then crashed his lips on mine. My mind told me to fight back but my wolf and my body were both fighting against that. Two beats one I thought to myself and I kissed him back. I heard 5 different pairs of footsteps and pulled back from the kiss. Right when they came Tristan eye’s looked torn between two things.

“Can we beat her up now Tristan,” the blond buff guy asked giving me the evil eye.

“Nope,” he replied harshly then continued “she part of our pack now.” I was about to say something against it when soft lips like a pillow stopped me. It took me a second to realize what was happening and I looked at Tristan kissing me. Um, what? Closing my eyes I kiss back, again hating myself. I heard a bell ring saying ‘go to class’ but I ignored it as well as Tristan. Wait, why am I kissing him I just meet him? I pull back from the kiss and walk away biting my lip. What the hell just happen? Walking around the corner I walk to the office and ask for my schedule, they didn’t stop me ‘cause I was late because I was new.

“Thank you,” I told the lady handing me the schedule. She nodded and with a smile waved 'goodbye' of course i knew that the smile was fake, but then again who wouldn't. After that I walked out of the office into an empty hall. Looking at the schedule I memorize the locker number and walk over to it.

“My life sucks,” I murmured banging my head against my locker after remembering that Tristan guy. Well, so much for trying to not stick out, I thought to myself after crossing off my only hope in high school.

“Who are you talking to,” Tristan’s musical voice asked me. Without looking over at him I could tell he was grinning foolishly.

“Myself,” I answered in a dead tone, and banged my head once more before looking towards him. He looked at me like I was crazy, and surely enough I think I am to.
