The Blue Haired Boy

It all happened on a rainy day where he stopped trusting rain to put out a fire. That rainy day, he stopped trusting people all together.

In class 1-A a new student was transferring to Rakuzan High School. The student has crimson red hair. His right eye matching his hair and his left a sunset yellow. This student’s name is Akashi Seijuro. He just came back from England where he was studying abroad from 3rd grade to 9th grade.  Now he can return to Japan and reunite with his childhood friends, who also go to this school.

Akashi walked into the classroom after the teacher called him in. He introduced himself and was told to sit in the back in the seat next to a small boy with light blue hair and matching eyes. The boy was looking out the window.

On his desk sat a sketch pad with a person drawn on it. The picture was amazing, Akashi thought. It looked like the person was real, just behind a screen of a television. The only thing weird about the picture was that the person didn’t have any eyes or a nose or any features. Only a mouth. The picture looked finished. It was outlined in black marker and had a signature, which Akashi couldn’t read. He decided not to ask the boy, but introduce himself.

“Hello, I’m Akashi Seijuro and what would your name be?” he said. The boy looked his way, stared at him for a few seconds and looked back at the window. Instead of pestering the boy, he went back to the lesson being held.

As lunch time came around, he headed for the courtyard where he was to meet his childhood friends.

As he made his way he saw the cherry blossom tree. As he sat and waited for them to arrive. He then heard the annoying voice he knew all too well.

“Akashicchi!” called a tall blonde. As he stood up to greet him, he was glopped in a hug. As he tried to get out of the death hug, someone pulled him off. He saw his dark blue-haired friend holding a whining Kise Ryouta.

“Yo, Akashi. Long time, no see.” The tall tan boy ,also named Aomine Daiki, greeted.

“Ryouta, Daiki. Good to see you,” he greeted the two. After he greeted the two, he was jumped on by another person. She had pink hair and eyes.

“Akashi-kun!” exclaimed Momoi Satsuki. Akashi patted her head after she released him.

“Hello, Satsuki.” As he looked in the direction of the school, he saw a purple-haired titan, also his other childhood friend: Murasakibara Atsushi.

“Aka-chin,” the giant greeted as he arrived.

“Hello, Atsushi.”

“Does Aka-chin have snacks?” Akashi reached in his pocket and brought out a box of Pocky. He handed it to the giant.

“Of course. Knowing you, I got a limited edition.” As Murasakibara opened the Pocky, Akashi felt something like a hat being put on his head. He turned around to see the horoscope freak of a friend, named Midorima Shintarou.

“Sagittarius's lucky item is a Hello Kitty hat,” the tall green head greeted.

‘Hello to you too, Shintarou,” Akashi greeted. As everyone sat down and began to eat, Akashi started a conversation.

“So how has everyone been?” he asked. He got many answers from good to okay, and fine. They asked the same and he said he was doing fine. He nodded and noticed the blue-haired boy from his class, sitting under another cherry blossom tree. He had a sketchpad in hand. He turned to the group and asked them about the boy.

“Who’s that boy over there?” he said as he pointed to the boy. Everyone looked the way he pointed and froze. He raised an eyebrow at this.

“So, who is he?” he asked again. Midorima coughed and got the attention of the group back.

“I wouldn’t talk to him if I were you, Akashi,” said the horoscope freak.

“And why is that, Shintarou?”

“A-akashicchi. I guess you don’t know because you were in England when this happened,” joined Kise.

“What happened?”

“It was on the news.” He could tell his friends were stalling.

“What was on the news? I can’t wait all day.” Aomine decided to tell their midget friend.

“The kid killed someone when he was eight or something.” To say he was shocked, yes. A boy who looked so weak and he was eight at the time, killed someone.

“And who did he kill?” he asked. Momoi was on her phone typing something. As she found what she was looking for, she handed her phone to him. The phone had an article.

It had a picture of a house on fire and a family. In the picture there was a short woman who had light blue hair, a tall man with silver hair, a boy who looked eight who had silver hair, and a little kid holding the other boy’s hand who had light blue hair. He guessed this was the boy’s family.

As he read the article it said he killed his parents, was found on the ground with a knife in his hand and blood on him. The other boy in the picture was to be his older brother, Mayuzumi Chihiro, who went missing. He found out the boy’s name is Kuroko Tetsuya. It said he didn’t go to jail because there wasn’t enough evidence. That’s all it had to give him.

He looked up to see his friends staring at him.

“So..” Aomine spoke. All Akashi could think was how the heck could this kid kill his parents and set his home on fire.
