Allison Reynolds was up all night wondering what surprise her boyfriend, Shawn Callen- or as she called him- Shawny had in stored for her. Getting up for school was one thing she was definitely not excited for, though she had no option since it was the first day. She quickly took a shower and styled her hair in record breaking time. Allison decided to wear a new summer dress she had just bought the day before and a pair of gold sandals.
Allison and Shawny had been dating since sixth grade, leaving Ally kind of bummed when they were not going to the same high school. Now it was sophomore year and she still missed seeing her boyfriend's face in the halls and in front of her locker waiting like he always did. Stuck in algebra- her least favorite class- she stopped day dreaming and started to pay attention when Mr. Zinger announced that there was a new student.
“I hope he’s hot.” Beth whispered in her ear.
To Ally's astonishment in the doorway stood a dark brown haired boy with the brightest green eyes she had ever seen, and she knew exactly who it was, Shawny.
“That guy is hot and he is mine” She overheard Mckenzie- the school snob and head cheerleader- say and Ally thought to herself if only Mckenzie knew. Mr. Zinger looked around to find a seat for Shawn and sat him quickly next to Ally since that was the only available seat left.
Shawny quickly sat down and gave Ally a quick kiss who was quite happy or to say delighted with her boyfriend's surprise. She was also happy about how Kenzie saw the kiss and her perfectly whitened teeth were covered by a frown. Forty-six minutes passed with Shawn and Ally holding hands and playing footsie under the table. Ally felt all the same feelings she had when she was in middle school.
"What are you doing here?" Ally asked as Shawn snaked his fingers around her slim waist.
“I missed you too much-” Shawn began, but was rudely cut off by Kenzie.
"So, what school did you come to before here, Shawny?" Kenzie asked, using Ally's nickname for her boyfriend. Ally could feel her anger dripping through her body.
“Arlington High,” Shawn said “But I missed my girl too much so decided to transfer. So far it’s been worth it.”
It was now lunch time and Ally's mood was completely ruined when Kenzie grabbed Shawn- her Shawny- by the arm and pulled him to sit with her. He mouthed that he was sorry, leaving Ally to only respond that it was no big deal, though she could feel her insides burning up.
“What is wrong with her?” Ally's best friends, Beth and Lori asked. Answering their own question, they responded, “She’s obviously jealous because he’s dating you and not her.” Ally knew this much, but one thing she didn’t and found herself questioning, was Shawn.
“Why is Shawny flirting with her?” Beth and Lori gave Ally convincing and reassuring looks.
“Please, he is obviously giving her the time of day because she is throwing herself at him.” Ally knew that they were right, but she continued to doubt herself.
After lunch, Ally tried to talk to Shawn, but she felt as though he was ignoring her. Shawny said that she was imagining things but, she wasn't imagining anything when she saw Kenzie and Shawny together. They were a little too close for her taste, so without giving it a second thought, she walked up to Shawn and pulled him in close- very close, leaned in, and kissed him until she couldn’t breath anymore.
“Whoa. Where did that come from?” Shawn asked after Ally was done.
“I just, you know, missed you.” Ally responded, but kept her gaze on Kenzie with an evilly sweet smile on her face. Ally saw that Kenzie was writhing in anger, but decided to grab Shawn's hand and walk to class, but Ally was too quick. Snatching her boyfriend's hand, she began walking down the hall, leaving Kenzie in the middle of the hallway blinking because someone had finally given her a taste of her own medicine.
School had finally ended and Ally walked to the bus with Beth and Lori until she saw Kenzie again with Shawn.
“What the hell is wrong with him?” Ally found herself burning up while she saw Shawny giving Kenzie a hug. She quickly got on the bus and saw that Shawn was planning to sit next to her so she quickly grabbed a random guy by his shirt and pulled him into the seat with her. Ally was delighted to see Shawn’s face flushed with anger and shock.
Ally used the whole bus ride to do nothing but flirt with the random boy and discovered that the random boy was Darcy, the school’s hottest senior and football captain. Darcy was about to ask her out on a date until Shawn stood up, grabbed Darcy by the arm and pushed him out of the seat.
“What is your problem?” Shawn asked her, harshly
“I don’t have one, but it seems like you do." Ally replied simply. While Ally and Shawn had their discussion, Darcy finally got to his feet and and glared at Shawn.
“S’more what the heck is your problem?” He bellowed.
“My problem is that you’re flirting with my girl.” Darcy smiled mischievously and glanced at Ally with a sparkle in his eye.
“She doesn’t seem to mind it.” That’s when Shawn stood and punched Darcy so hard he passed out. Shawn quickly got off at the next stop hearing Ally run after him and calling his name. He wouldn’t turn around and left Ally to finally give up and run home crying.
Blasting music and crying with the lights out until the doorbell rang, Ally was surprised to find Shawn standing there looking pitiful. He apologized many times about hugging Kenzie and about the situation on the bus, making Ally feel bad for being so angry at him. She eventually gave in and everything was back to normal.
Well normal until lunch the next day when Ally went to her locker to get her Bio book and saw Shawn with his face all bloody, passed out in the middle of the hallway. Darcy and his friends stood around her boyfriend laughing and making jokes. She quickly dropped everything and ran to go help him until she felt someone grab her waist. Looking up she found Wick- one of Darcy's football friends.
He pushed her into the boy’s bathroom and hit her head on the sink, leaving her to immediately begin bleeding. Ally could feel Darcy begin to unbutton her shirt and yank down her jeans. She wanted to scream but couldn’t because Nick- one of Darcy's other friends- was covering her mouth. Her panties were torn apart and she felt a searing pain as she felt Darcy begin to rape her. All she could do was watch as Darcy and his friends took turns raping her poor, defenseless self.
“You better not tell anyone unless you want that precious little boyfriend of yours to never wake up again.” Darcy spoke harshly after finishing with her. All Ally could do was cry, dress herself, and walk to class as if nothing had happened.
“Oh, Miss. Reynolds nice of you to join us.” Mrs. Lucas said as Ally made her way into the classroom. She quickly grabbed her seat next to Shawn. He asked what was wrong which left Ally to lie and say nothing. Shawn didn’t buy it and gave her a disbelieving look.
“Are you still mad at me?”
"No." She said quickly.
Later, Ally found Beth and Lori and rushed them into the bathroom to tell them every detail of what happened. They begged her to tell someone but Ally told them through tears that she couldn't in fear of what they would do to Shawn.
It was time for the bus and Shawn left early so Ally was left sitting next to the Beth while Darcy and his friends were dong nothing but smiling at her. She sat there like nothing was wrong and Beth followed her lead. They all knew that Beth and Lori knew what they had done to her and all hell would break loose if they said something, and that was the last thing Ally wanted.
When Ally's stop came, she got off the bus with Beth and began walking until they heard footsteps coming up quickly behind them. Paranoid, Ally quickly looked back and saw that it was Darcy and his friends.
“What the hell do you want now?!" Ally screamed, anger coursing through her.
“We came for seconds.” Darcy said, smiling maliciously. She and Beth both started to run but they both knew that they could not outrun the school’s quarter back and half of the football team.
When Darcy caught up to them, he grabbed both of them and pushed them into the woods, immediately having him and his friends rip off their clothing. They screamed as Darcy and his friends took turns raping and viciously abusing them. Their screams were loud and left hope that someone would hear them. They soon began to doubt that when wondering who would hear them. They were in the middle of the woods.
“You tell anyone, I’ll personally make sure you little boyfriend never wakes up again.” Darcy said, repeating his words from earlier. Ally and Beth quickly dressed themselves and ran to Beth’s house. When her mom asked what was wrong, they both quickly said nothing.
They both agreed tomorrow at school they would tell Principal Dodds.
Once they were at school the next day, they saw Darcy, his friends, and police cars. Wondering what was going on, they asked a random student what was going on.
“They're being arrested because they raped Kenzie, Michelle, Hollie and Sammi." The girl said.
Ally and Beth ran to the first police officer they saw and told them what happened in the boy’s bathroom and in the woods.
“Let’s see how many more days your boyfriend will last.” Darcy said as he was being pushed into the cop car.
“Shut up, you son of a bitch." The police officer said, harshly.
Kenzie looked over to Ally and quickly ran up to her. They hugged, began to cry, and hoped that it was over.
