"Watch where you're going, Kim! This isn't the circuit you know," she warned her friend. Kim just grinned. "Hey, we're practicing right? Besides, the road is deserted," she replied. She clenched her jaw. She knew better than letting her amateur friend drove Silver. The Nissan GTR Skyline wasn't just any car. It was a monster and a powerful beast. She saw the dangerous curve ahead. She had tackled it many times before but this time, she wasn't the one driving. "Kim, watch out!" she shouted but Kim seemed to ignore her warning. Instead, she grinned and stepped on the accelerator. She realized too late the younger woman was trying to tackle the dangerous curve. She tried to drift but Silver skidded and the guardrail greeted them. She closed her eyes and heard the sickening sound of Silver hitting the guardrail.
"Kim!" Lisa Benson jerked awake. She quickly turned on the bedside lamp and glanced around. She was in her room and on her bed. It's just a nightmare. She put her head on the palms of her hands and wept. It's been two years but she couldn't stop the nightmares even if she wanted to. I shouldn't have let her drive but why did I? The thirty seven years old writer wiped away the tears using the back of her hands and sniffled. This feelings of guilt is overwhelming. If only I didn't give in to her persistence. Kim was an impatient girl and too driven. Why the hell did I listen to her?
Lisa was twenty five years old when she first entered the world of road racing. She had come in her father's ten years old black Nissan Sunny that was still in good condition. The body was original but the engine had been replaced with a Mitsubishi's engine. A skeptical guy driving an overly modified local car had challenged her to a single race. She accepted and won. She earned respects from her new family and since that day onward, she was known as the only female road racer that could race like a man. She especially loved the curves and the feeling of adrenaline pumping through her veins, making her body as if on fire every time she stepped on the accelerator.
When she was thirty years old, she went to Japan to learn the new kind of race; drift. After four years of learning, she went home and worked at a travel agency owned by her friend, Oscar Grant. He knew her passion in road racing and gave his support by appearing at every race that she entered. She had bought a silver Nissan GTR Skyline and asked another friend, Reggie Newton to do a little modification by adding the name 'Silver' on each side of the car, blue lights underneath the body and sprayed the spoiler black. Even the windows were tinted black. She met Kim at one of the races she entered. Kim had asked Lisa to teach her drift racing and she agreed.
