Prologue

I woke up to the sound of my heart beating excessively. I looked at the clock and saw I should have woken up 15 minutes ago. The words from the vulgar nightmare still haunted my senses and it wouldn't go away. "Run Lilliana. Run from the vampire that cursed your father. Run from the same thing that killed your brother. Run from me."

Chapter One

I struggled against the steel bars that trapped me in this tight space. I couldn't shake the chains off me no matter how hard I tried or what ways I tried them in. My head aches from the continuous taunting and teasing.

"Run Lilliana." The tall, slender, wrinkled man said in a deafeningly deep voice. The sound waves hitting anonymous walls everywhere it gets bounced to.

"I will not be shaken up by you." I said in a determined and cracky voice.

"Don't tell me your still fighting this."

"Don't tell me your still trying to scare me."

He slapped me across the face with a force I haven't felt him use sense he captured me.

"Do not back talk me child!"

"I'm not a child!" I screamed. My head was aching and my cheek was begging for mercy. I felt the hot tears stream down my face and down to my neck.

"You will not knock me down so easily." I wasn't so shaky anymore. I was tired of the bullshit this man put on me. What does he want with me? what did I to to him? why does he keep taunting me every chance he gets?

"Lilliana."

"What?" I said in a stern voice.

"I am the death of your father. The one father you had that the werewolves killed because he was such a huge threat. I'm the one that made you powerful. Your not one of me, but soon you will be, and when you are everyone in the kingdom of the unnecessary with praise you. But first.."

He paused. Almost like he was purposely adding a dramatic effect.

"I need to break you from your habit."

"What habit?"

He laughed in a way that made me want to puke. To rip him to shreds on the spot.

"You will go to school."

"What's school?"

"School is a place where you learn. All normal people go to school at about three or four years of age. Abnormal people go at about twenty years of age."

"Why am I going? I'm seventeen."

"Because you already know most the stuff you need for what your doing. You just need to get a few basic procedures and one or two years of training and you'll be ready to run your own little army my love."

I jumped up and started to shake the bars with all the force in my body. I knew it wouldn't work but hey, I was pissed.

"Why me? why! why am I the one? why can't you run your own army! And your own kingdom!"

he giggled and Walked backwards.

"Till next time we meet at a gaze, I will wait upon your daze."

He snapped his fingers and I fell to the ground. The sound of chains clinked loudly through the room as consciousness left my mind, and I went into a deep trance.
