Anna was sad, it was her birthday and she had to work all day. The day looked sad for it was a day when at her job they had let go many of her co workers, she felt like crying. People were into the sad moment so her birthday was forgotten. She missed the people she loved, her mom's
birthday cake, her sister kiss to wish her a happy day, beautiful days now gone. She no longer got along with her father, once again a strain relationship and she wondered why was he that way
with her, why other people mattered more than her, his only real child but life taught her a lesson, it wasn't true that blood makes a difference, for her it was a big fat lie. She felt like crying but she didn't shed a tear, she didn't have any left. Tristan was in town, he had promise her that he would do anything to be with her on that special day and he kept his promise as he usually did, always a real man. She had given up on men, they seemed to be ready to hurt her and she was so tire of them all but Tristan was so different, for he had been hurt too.

When Anna got home Tristan was waiting for her, he let her change into something more appropiate and he drove to his house in the beach where he had prepare the surprise. In his beautiful terrace he had prepared a small table with something light to eat since it was so late, he had
cheesecake and red wine, scented lavander and vanilla candle, the expensive ones and no lights except for the candles, soft music in the background. Anna was so surprise to see Tristan on one knee, he was proposing, she had tears in her eyes. After the proposal and Anna saying yes, yes, yes, they danced slowly to Michael Bolton's You Are So Beautiful and she clinged to his neck caressing the back with her fingers, she touched his blonde waivy hair softly and the music made them embrace tighter. After the dance, she sat down and Tristan poured wine and served the cheesecake. She looked at him and had tears in her eyes.
"You made my day today", she told him.
"I was nervous, I was scare that you could say no", Anna knew she could never say no to him, he was the one for her.
"I would never say no to you, I love you Tristan, you are a great guy"

They kissed in the moonlight, and the kisses tasted like cheesecake.
