A Soldier Comes Home

She saw him standing out in front of her window as he walked up to her door. Is he going to knock? , she thought silently. Yet as soon as she thought the words, he turned at his heel and walked away. He had jet black hair and had hazel eyes to die for. He was wearing his black bomber jacket, black jeans and black cowboy boots. He looked rugged, sexy, and sensitive all at the same time. John had finally come home from the war.
Sara had heard from his mom that he had gotten injured while in Iraq. He was with the special forces.
They played together as kids. They were also high school sweethearts. Ever since he had returned, there was a ominous force that surrounded him. From the look in his eyes, to the way he was never around when darkness fell.Something was different about John.
He was staying in an apartment up the street from what she had heard in town. She walked home from work not knowing what would happen that night.

A Hairy Reunion

He was finally able to let the beast in him free. As he searched for his prey that night his mind drifted to her as it always did. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She had luxurious, long, flowing, chestnut-colored hair and deep brown eyes the color of chocolate. Everything about her screamed nature. Her job even, as she was an artist.Suddenly he smelled her, a scent he would never forget.Just then, as if by magic, she came wrapped in an ancient robe that had once been her grandmothers. A wolf crossed her path as she walked home. Soon after, John stepped out of the woods as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"I thought I smelled you.",John said, into the night."Smelled me?", Sara asked."I mean, thought it was you.",replied John. "Um, would you like to go to....". Suddenly, the moon rose to its fullest as they heard a howl in the distance. "I have to go",John said, in a rush. "John!", Sara shouted after John.

A Secret To Tell

She slowly walked home. As she approached her house, she saw that the door was open. Then, she turned the light on, and she saw a shadow coming from her kitchen. As she walked into the kitchen her heart beat faster and faster still until she saw the jacket lying in the chair."John.", she said half to herself not expecting the reply that followed. "Sara, good you're back. I was waiting for you.", John replied. "Waiting for me? I don't understand.", Sara asked, her heart skips a beat as she waits for a reply. "Tonight, you saw me twice while in the woods.", said John, as he gave her a rose. "What's this for, John?", asked Sara. "You may want to sit down for this, Sara. What I am about to tell you may scare you.", John said solemnly. Sara sits on her barstool, as John tells her a story of a man bound to a curse that began many, many moons ago.

The Curse of The Channing Family

"It was 1970 and my father was 17. He had just met my mother and they were supposed to meet that night, as they planned to elope. My mother was in her room pacing the floor as she always did in anticipation of what was to come. My father, romantic that he was, was out getting roses to bring to my mother. That's when it happened. A wolf bit my father on the hand. He tried to retaliate, but by the time he had gotten up enough strength, the wolf disappeared into the night. My father started feeling sick to his stomache asthough he had food poisoning. He stumbled down the road looking for shelter. It was then that he came upon the gypsy caravan that held the answer to his sickness. The medicine woman approached my father with care. She told him that she could help him but he had to pay the price. The price being that of his first born's soul to the animal that bit him. She told him that in his first born would arise a great change on his 21st birthday. My father didn't understand what she meant. She told him the answer would come in time." John finished. "Do you understand, Sara? I was that wolf that crossed your path tonight.", John revealed to her. " Is that why you are never around in the nighttime? How could you hide it from the army, your friends, family, and what's more: me?", asked Sara, tears in her eyes. "It became easier as time passed. I never wanted to hurt you, Sara, never you."

A Revelation of Love

"I have loved you since I first saw you, Sara. You are the reason I wake up in the morning. The reason I had to tell you, Sara, is that I have to know if you feel the same.", John confessed. "What makes you think you have to ask me that? I have loved you ever since I knew what loving was. I love you, John, with all that I am, I love you. Every painting I have made was all for you. My feelings for you run so deeply that I can't feel anything but you. You are all that I think of. You're in my dreams. When I first saw you I thought I was dreaming.", replied Sara, as she stepped into his arms. "I will always love you, no matter what differences we may have.", Sara embellished to John." So you don't care that I'm a monster?", asked John. "No, because you're not a monster, you're a hero.", replied Sara. "Sara, don't move.", John said, as he moved towards her. He hovered his lips over hers as he whispered her name, that's when he took her lips and caressed hers first with his tounge, then with his own as he branded hers ever so softly. He thought to himself 'mine',
as he plunged deeper into her mouth, sealing the bond between them.
