Chapter One- Introduction.
Ever fallen in love with someone? If you said yes to this question, you are probably lying. If you said no to this question, you are also probably lying. This is how I see it; saying yes to this question means you would have had to make a quick, rational decision and also means you had one particular person in mind. Are you still with this person? And if you are, have you no doubt something will happen that could completely change everything and you end up being left heartbroken? (Sorry to put a downer on your day...). But then, on the other hand, if you said no, can you say that for sure? Could it not be the case that you are in love with someone and you don’t even know it yet? You’ve passed them on the street, noticed each other out the corner of your eye then before you know it, 10 years have passed and you’re happily married with a beautiful house and the dream family! Easy huh? But to be honest with you, I don’t think either situation or answer is completely realistic. The only honest answer you could give to this question would be maybe. Maybe I have been, maybe I will be, and maybe I am in love right now. But you can never be sure. So that was my little introduction into the way I see things. Problem with that, stop reading now. No problem or your just really intrigued to see what this insane person has to say, please read on.
Now if you chose the second option, you will be here, reading this right now and I am about to tell you something that could change your life forever (No guarantees).
Part 1: Life is full of choices- I can guess you already knew that but let me finish!
Part 2: Once you have made that choice, it’s pretty much irreversible (unless it’s that tattoo you got when you were 18, absolutely off your face and you are prepared to go down the route of a pretty painful tattoo removal...)
My point is that no matter what you do, every decision you ever make will have some lasting impression on your life, like little tiny footprints covering your timeline. Even if it’s the simplest thing of wearing your brand new 5 inch heels you treated yourself to, to work. Then it turns out they are not as comfortable as they were when you tried them on in the store and now your boss has asked everyone to stay late as he needs to re-brief everyone on the presentation for 2 weeks time even though every single person in that room knows the sloppy PowerPoint word for word and everyone knows they know every word but chooses not to mention it, just in case their Christmas bonus slips down a band. Now your boss has asked you to go on the coffee run because no one else has any time to go even though everyone already knows the presentation but oh well! You go anyway. Just your luck, it’s raining and in the rush out of the house this morning, you forgot your umbrella (ironically because you spent too much time doing your hair, hoping to bump into the complete hottie on floor 3). Still, you carry on with your errand, feet burning, hair flying all over the place, soaked clothes, tired and now your mascara has run down your face. Luckily, on the way back to the office, the sun begins to shine as the rain clears away, giving you slight opportunity to fling your hair into a ponytail and sort out your make-up to the best of your ability while holding 4 Starbucks on a tray thing with the other hand, once stopping to wrap the hair tie around your head. You finally get back to the office and are in the lift when all of a sudden whilst going past floor 3, guess who steps into the enclosed box with you? The hottie from floor 3. Great. Now you see each other! After that entire horrendous trip and also, just to make it better, you look a state. But then he talks to you. Result! Also as it turns out, he seems to be getting off on the same floor. He asks you why you’re limping and you think to yourself, I knew I couldn't walk in these, stupid girl... He says he’ll give you a hand, 5 minutes later you have a dinner date on Friday with the man of your dreams and this is just the story you’re looking back on when 10 years have passed and you’re happily married with a beautiful house and the dream family, just like I said before!
No, this didn't happen to me (I wish!) but this just proves my point that one choice can change your life, leaving footprints, big or small on your timeline. It all adds up. So I’m asking you now if you fancy joining me on my road of choices (or at least what I write about them anyway) and how they change my life, and maybe even yours.
