A woman named Jennifer Ray lived in her apartment on the second floor of the blockhouse.
She lived with her she dog called Kim. Every morning she went out on the balcony to see beautiful view outside. Under her window grow beautiful flowers in flower bed and trees and near flower bed was a large fish pond.
She always thought she is safe, because she lives on the second floor of her house and she has dog.
One day she went to dog trainer. Trainer taught Jennifer’s dog to obey her.
That day he said to Jennifer,
“Maybe we should teach your dog to bite strangers. What if someone will attack you on the street?”
“No, absolutely no! I will not allow you to teach my dog such thing!” Jennifer replied.
“Why not? You know, there were attacks on streets lately,” said dog trainer.
“I’m against violence myself and I won’t allow you to teach my dog to be violent against other humans,” Jennifer said.
After this conversation Jennifer went home.
Next day she woke up from a noise she heard. It was coming from outside. She opened her eyes and looked at the balcony.
“Am I dreaming or there really are someone’s hands on railings of my balcony?” she thought.
Suddenly her dog ran on the balcony. Dog reached for intruder's hand and bit the guy.
“Aaaaaaaaaa!” screamed burglar as he fell down.
Jennifer went on her balcony and looked down. Burglar wasn’t injured. He fell in the fish pond. Pond plants have softened his fall. After few minutes he got out of the pond and went away.
“Good thing, that fishes weren’t harmed,” Jennifer thought.
After half an hour she went outside to walk with her dog. She met one of her neighbors.
“Hello, Jennifer! How are you doing?” said Jasmin.
“Hello, Jasmin! You'll never believe what happened to me today! I woke up from the noise outside. I saw someone’s hands on railings of my balcony. My dog ran on the balcony and bit this guy. He fell down in the fish pond,” told Jennifer.
“Wow! That’s something you don’t hear every day. Just like in the movies!” Jasmin laughed.
“And how are you doing?” Jennifer asked.
“I’m fine. Found new job at the police office. You have very courageous dog. The guy whom your dog bit have been robbing houses in this area for some time now. No one saw him until now. I would be grateful if you could describe the guy for my colleagues. With your help we can catch him so no one could experience something like you did today,” Jasmin said.
“Very well, let’s go to the police office,” Jennifer said.
Jennifer described the burglar for police officers and went home.
On the next day Jennifer went to see dog trainer.
“Hello, John!”
“Hello, Jennifer!”
“Do you remember when you offered to teach my dog to bite strangers?” asked Jennifer.
“Yes! Did you change your mind about this?” John asked.
“No, I didn’t. But it’s not necessary anymore. Yesterday burglar tried to get inside my apartment and my dog bit his hand. He fell in the fish pond under my windows.”
“Ha! Ha! Ha!” John loudly laughed.
“You are lucky woman, Jennifer! I taught many dogs, how to bite attackers but most of them were so scared when someone attacked their owners that hey couldn’t even move. I guess, your dog is most courageous from all the dogs I have ever trained,” John said.
“Yes, I have great dog,” she replied.
