Sammy Shankopotomis

There once was a little first grader named Sammy Shankopotamis. He was in Ms. Schmwow-vow’s class, which was a little first-grade, classroom, with toys on the shelves, and marker and crayons to draw, and is where our story begins…
It was the first day of school, when Sammy, or has he liked to be called, Sam, decided to share his name for “Show and Tell”. When it was Sam’s turn to share, he walked to the middle of the morning circle as he began, “Today, me gonna shares my name. Reazy, here I goes… mies name is Sam Shankopotamis!” There was silence in the room, as every one of his class-mates, broke out into a loud laughter. Sadness crashed over Sam like a tower of falling blocks. Ms. Schmwow-vow, saw the embarrassment on Sam’s face. When she began, “You know class; it is not nice to laugh at people. When I was in first grade, I was made fun of my name too, Sam don’t worry.” Sam felt tears rushing to his eyes as he announced, “ Me hates you guys, just because of my names doesnts means yous guys makes funs of me!” as he ran out of the room bursting into tears. Ms. Schmwow-vow began, “That was very rude of you all… I expect more from all of you. Just because of his unusual name doesn’t give any of you the right to make fun of him.” And she walked out of the room, stopping at the the door to the other room where Sammy is, announcing, “minus five minutes off of your recess, all of you.” And a little blonde girl opens her mouth, to say, “Wes make funs of you toos but yous are teachers.” “Then that would conclude with you and only you, BESSIE, With NO recess at all.”
And that concludes our story!
THE END

Bessie

Bessie
There once was a little blonde girl named Bessie! Bessie was a mean, bratty, and bragging little girl from Texas who moved to Tennessee. Bessie was, “that girl” to a lot of little first graders in Tennessee. Bessie was not always mean, bratty, and used to never brag at all. When she lived in Texas, Bessie was a happy, lovely girl who was friends with almost everyone.
When Bessie moved she was worried that she would have no friends. The day the moving truck came, tears came to her eyes as she cried, saying goodbye to all of her friends, “Goodbyes, Frankie…******sniffle****sniffle****” and continued, “ Bye-byes Johnny, maybe you comes over to Tenneshnee to sees me.” And then came her bestest of friends forever! (BFF); Meghan,” Imma gonnas miss yous guys mosts of all” she looked towards Meghan, tears streaming down her face,” Meggie… I wants you to comes over a lots. Donts forget. Me live Tenneshnee please come come over somtime hope to see you soon…” and with a hug, Bessie walked towards the U-Haul, tears streaming down her face, “*****sniffle****sniffle****”
In “Tenneshnee” (as Bessie called it) This is where our story begins….
It was the first day of school, Bessie stepped into Ms. Schwow-vow’s class room, and sat alone on the rug. A tall, young lady, who looked to be the teacher stepped into the class, saying, “Ok little firsties, time for show and tell! Everyone meet on the morning rug!” Bessie had brought in her little doll, Meghan. (named after her BFF) When Bessie walked to the morning circle, Ms. Schwow-vow began, “ok let’s start with ‘show and tell’ Sammy you go first…” “Ok…” Sammy replied. He walked up to the center of the morning circle and began , “Today, me gonna shares my name. Reazy, here I goes… mies name is Sam Shankopotamis!” Bessie tried hard not to laugh, until small snicker of laughter overwhelmed her as she burst out into a loud cackle with the rest of the class. Sammy then ran out of the class tears about to stream down his face. Then Ms. Schwow-vow spoke, “That was very rude of you all… I expect more from all of you. Just because of his unusual name doesn’t give any of you the right to make fun of him.” As she began to leave the room she began, “-5 minutes off all of your recess, and just because of his different name doesn’t make him a weird person.” When Ms. Schwow-vow was leaving to comfort Sammy, Bessie looked around the morning circle and thought, I miss my friends, I don’t know anyone here. Anger hit Bessie, like a toy choo-choo-train, as she blurted out, “Wes make funs of you toos but yous are teachers.” Ms Schowow-vow turned around in the doorway, looking at Bessie, “Now Bessie, were you the one that had just said that naughty thing?” “ Yas, watchyas gonna do abouts it? Huh?” Bessie replied obnoxiously. Then Ms. Schowow-vow replied, “ What will I do? I’m going to take away aaaalllllll of your recess.” “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!”

The End

Oh yes! The little firsties will love it! Ok so we’ll have show and tell on the morning rug, then, snack after playtime, then naptime then lunch after another session of playtime! “Perfect!” she murmured quietly to herself. She was opening the school door, entering the lobby on her way to her class; room 11. The room was a small room, with toys on the shelves and blocks in the bins, with a small rug in the corner for morning meetings. She entered her class room. It was 6:00 a.m., she was unpacking a box of markers, putting them into the bin, not realizing how fast the time flew by. When she looked up, it was 7:30. Wow, time flies by quickly! She thought to herself, she heard the door open, and looked up from her project, “Hi, mys name is Sammy ares you Ms. Schwowzy-vows?” “Yes, Sammy I am.” Sammy walked straight towards his cubby putting his backpack on the hook and sitting on the morning rug playing with the blocks. I think that’s a cool name you should share it for show and tell…” “um…O-Ok” he replied, the door opened again and came in the entire class, and Ms. Schwow-vow began, “ Ok little firsties, unpack put your things in your cubbies and meet on the morning rug." When all of the students were at the morning rug, Ms. Schwow-vow began, “Ok lets begin Show and Tell, Sammy, you go first.” “Um… ok” he walked to the center of the morning circle and began, “Today, me gonna shares my name. Reazy, here I goes… mies name is Sam Shankopotamis!” There was silence in the room, as every one of his class-mates, broke out into a loud laughter. Sammy ran out of the room tears streaming down his face. Ms.Schwow-vow got up, and walked to Sammy, and said, “ Sammy, I know that was very mean of them but…” Sammy replied, “ya buts… They so mean, to means I quit! I quit school! I Quit! I QUIT! I QUIT!” Ok I'll leave you alone for a minute and punish them for laughing.” Ms. Schwow-vow said. “Shank you Ms. Schwow-vowz.” “Your welcome Sammy” she replied. When Ms. Schwow-vow left the room. Back at the morning circle, Ms. Schwow-vow began, “That was very rude of you all, just because of someone’s different name doesn’t make him an unusual person. -5 minute of all of your recess!” And a little blonde girl opens her mouth, to say, “Wes make funs of you toos but yous are teachers.” “Then that would conclude with you and only you, BESSIE, With NO recess at all.”
