Still reading? Cool! Then, let's get started.

Before we begin, Hi! I'm Naomi. This is my diary of when I went to Camp Full Moon.

Thursday 22nd June

OMG!
My parents are sending me to SUMMER CAMP!
SQUEEEE!

I've always wanted to go to a summer camp - but I've never been lucky, until the leaflet for Camp Full Moon came into my letterbox this morning. It was a gothic-looking camp (I love gothic-looking stuff) with everything - a pool, balconies on our own holiday houses, a cinema, a park, a pond and a beautiful scenario.

After I'd looked at the leaflet, word by word, about 5 times, I rushed into the kitchen to show Mom and Dad.
Not showing - YELLING!!
'MOM! DAD! I'VE GOTTA GO TO THIS SUMMER CAMP! IT HAS EVERYTHING!PLEEEEASE LET ME GO THIS SUMMER!'
Mom was in the middle of flipping pancakes, and jolted so hard that the finished pancake went onto my plate.
'Naomi, you scared me out of my skin! But, that pancake was yours, anyway... what were you yelling about?'
'Well, look at this leaflet!' I cried, pushing the leaflet towards Mom. I got to work putting chocolate syrup on my pancake. As usual, I did a work of art - an anime boy with brown, chocolatey hair, doing the peace sign.
'Naomi, not too much. You don't want to get fat, do you?' Dad asked.
'No, Dad, I'm doing a work of art! I so want to get into that art college and get good grades!' I cried.

West Chicago Art College is where I am longing to be. My speciality is anime. I draw girls looking out of balconies, boys holding roses, cats running, and more. I always get an 'A' in art, but C-minuses in math and science. I get teased about it, but I don't care. I love my art - art flows through my blood, into every artery in my body (I may not get good grades in science, but the human body is my strong point).

Mom came over to me. 'Sweetie, we'll think about it, ok?' she asked. Then she started swearing because her pancakes were burning.

Later on, I heard something while I was looking at my comments on ArtZone.
'If she wants to go to this summer camp, she can.'
'I know, Angela, but it's eighty dollars - and that's just for the summer!'
'Bob, she wants to go. Can't you do something for your own daughter?'

Then, Mom and Dad came up to my room.
'Any good comments, then?'
'Yep. I have loads on my pancake one!' (remember the chocolate syrup art I did?)
'Well, Naomi, your father and I have made a decision.'
I wondered what this was about for a second, then realised.
'You're going to Camp Full Moon.'

Ta-da! There, I'm going. I'm catching the bus on the 10th July.

Camp Full Moon, here I come!

10th July

YAYYY!

I'm in my cabin at Camp Full Moon!
Unfortunately, there was an odd number. I was the odd one out - so I have a single cabin.

We arrived at 6:30. We had enough time for an introduction, dinner, a tour and cabin organizations until bedtime at 9:00. I'm listening to my iPod.

Hang on, I'm feeling sleepy. Somehow, I feel a lot sleepier than than I was before... uhhh...

(more on this coming soon!)
