It was my birthday. As usual I expected my first wish to be from Noor. And, it was months long, I did not receive any email or message from her. But, I got her message later with shocking news. She was married just a week back. And she did not invite me. I lost in tears. I was sad and also happy for her. That was the last message from her.
After few weeks I resigned my job and started looking for new one. Three new people were added to my friend list in this job process. I started writing my story in a blog and got good response. I used to write poems when Noor was with me. In a romantic, sad and lovely manner, I used to think about her and write the poems in her memory. But, now I was not able to think about a word. I lost my love. I lost my inspiration.
Everything happens for a good cause. After many months, suddenly one day I got Noor, back in my life through social media. We were friends again. We started to chat, share things. But now she is married and lives miles apart from me. Our conversation remained only for 10 minutes. By this I fell in love with her again. I controlled myself not to explain it, but couldn’t.
Meanwhile, a friend of mine, who was introduced in a company interview, invited me for a function. We became good friends once I got to know about his life. A tragedy love story but still got married recently as per his family wish. It was a shock for me to know that Noor was his wife. That was the first time I saw Noor after my graduation.
Noor’s husband used to read my blog daily and comment on it. Some how he got to know me and Noor were batch mates. This later on gave a way to think about my blog story. Confused with my story, and the conversation history found in social media seen accidentally, made him to have a quick chat with me that night. On the rush to meet me, they met with an accident. After 3 days of struggle, Noor’s husband left us by saying –‘take care of Noor’ to me. I was all alone in the hospital by this time, as Noor went out to get medicine.
After waiting for minutes I could not see Noor back to hospital. This led me to search her and finally I got her in a bus stop crying alone. I spoke to her to live for herself, to live for her beloved ones, as she was talking about death. Any how I consoled her and walked with her till her home. I was surprised to see the gathering there. Initially, I thought they might have known Noor’s husband’s death. But, later on I found that it was Noor who was dead there.
I left the place crying all the way. Thinking what happened so far. With whom I was talking all the way. A week later I got a post that had letters written by Noor. I read them and almost cried. I could not read further. Tears rolled out of my eyes.
I needed a break to come out of this shock. So, I managed to get an opportunity to visit my client place for project purpose. I travelled US for a month or two. After two months I was back and the company announced yearly party. After the party everything changed again.
What happened to me after the party?
Party Time!!!After coming back from US, company announced yearly party to be held soon in a 5 star hotel. Soon or later colleagues got busy in planning some events for the party day. This was my first party in this company. I was enquiring about previous year's party with my colleagues. Few addressed good thing and other few bad. Whatever it is, its a time to enjoy.
We were requested to look different than our usual attire on the party day. Finally the day has come. It was 6 in evening we had to be there at party hall. I did not had a good suit for the party. I planned to buy new clothes and borrowed a red coat from my friend. Finally I was ready for the party.
I reached the hotel around 6:30 PM. I called one of my colleague to come out but he refused and said there is a surprise, so come soon. As soon as I entered the party hall, I saw a flash light and two people with mike on a red carpet. Oh my god. It was fully filimi style red carpet entry for us.
For a second I was shocked to see this arrangement, and I never expected this. It was a dream come true. Me in a red-carpet. Oh god. Two of my colleagues praised my attire and a different look ever seen in my office days. They enquired to guess the team award and asked my favourite star. Even though I am not a fan of any but I said one name. To this they requested to mimic his dialogue. Ufff... I was confused a bit what to say. Still I managed with Rajnikanth dialogue.
The moment I left the red carpet and entered the hall I was in shock again. There was a big screen placed in the hall and every one could see it live. I was thinking my action for a moment. Party started in few minutes and followed by singing, dancing and some games. By 8:30PM it all got over and it was time for some hot drinks and good food.
Everyone was enjoying in the party. But, I was standing alone somewhere and enjoying it in my way. Taking pictures with colleges, having some food etc. By 11 PM we planned to leave. It was good time after a long time. I was remembering the time spent till I reached home.
After 3 days, it was Tuesday. I was bit late to office. I got a cup of coffee and started my usual work. Suddenly, I saw a piece of paper in my desk. I took it and started to read it. I was surprised a bit after reading it. I thought it might be written by my colleague. So, I was waiting for her entry to office as she comes late normally.
Day 1
After my colleague entered office, I turned towards her and asked –“Did you write this note, Asha?”
To this she replied – “What?”
I handed over the piece of paper. She read it once, twice and laughed and said –“Bhai, why should I write this when I can say to you directly”. I too smiled hearing that. She was right. We work for the same project and she is married too.
I used to read the note once, twice in between my work. After all what was there in the note Just a wish. “Congratulations, Nuruddin. For being nominated to ‘Best New Comer’ Award. I wish you be awarded in Next Year Party!!!”
What the note meant? I joined the new company just 9 months back. It was a better place for me to work. I got to know new people around and started to chat, play and share things. I participated in Foosball tournament and won the game too. In a very less period I was known to everyone. May be by this I got nominated for the award.
Even though I did not win the award I was happy that my name appeared in a big screen. Every time I read this piece of note I smiled. Later on, I inquired one more colleague. He read it and laughed at me.
Nuruddin, someone is having crush on you man. Enjoy. Ahh…I smiled at his comment. It sounded good for me as I didn’t had a girlfriend. I completed my work and did not think much about the piece of paper. I left for the day.
Next day morning when I arrived to my cabin I saw one more piece of paper again on my desk.
Day 2I was little bit shocked to see a piece of paper with a note on my desk. I did not read it the moment I saw it. I went to cafeteria and got a cup of black tea. I came back to my seat and started reading the note. This time also it was a wish note.
“Nuruddin, you were looking hot and sexy in new avatar. Good ya. Little bit improvement in your dressing style. Keep it up J !!!”
I just imagined the party day and how I dressed. The information in the note was true. For the very first time I was looking different. The moment I arrived to party hall, I saw two people standing in front of the entrance and asking few stuffs. I entered the red-carpet. The first comment was “Hey Nuruddin, you look different and hot in new dress.”
After entering the party hall, my colleagues praised me for this new style. Some said, you look like hero man and some started pulling my leg by commenting –“Dude, today someone will fall in love”I used to blush for this. Hoping let someone do it. Everyone in the party was looking amazing with new style.
I stopped my imagination and came back to real world. I read it again and again. It just put a smile on face every time I read it. But, gradually I lost it thoughts who might be writing this. For a moment I thought of few people who might be writing.I ignored
