Circa 1911, New York City. Mrs. Polly Franklin, the wife of a copper mining mogul is invited to Britain and the estate of Lady Beatrix Miller. While there, a chance meeting with a poor, young British family sets a sequence of events in motion that will change all their lives forever.
This is one of my first exercises at a writing class as well as more of a short story, through Writer's Studio. It was a lot of help with fresh ideas, and learning many styles of writing.
