I stepped out of my walk-in closet. I got my best outfit, a yellow tank top with jeans and a pair of élla sandals. I bought this when my mom, Brooke the Model, was on tour at Paris.
I stepped into the shower. And when I came out, I smelled as fresh as air. As though, if air can even smell like anything. It could smell like me. I putted on my outfit and ran downstairs. “Slow down, don’t wanna get all your breath out,” My mom said. She washed a bowl. “Here,” I was confused. “Dump your own cereal, darling.” My mom walked away into the master bedroom. I dumped some cereal in my bowl. I took a bite of the bitter milk cold cereal. Then my cell phone started buzzing. I looked at the screen. It was Hannah. I pressed answer. “Hey, Chandler.” Hannah said. “Hi Han--.” She cutted me off. “Yeah, whatever. Guess what? Jordan says he wants to meet me!” Hannah said. I spitted my cereal all over the table. The bitter cereal dripped on my new jeans. I got a little mad. Jordan was my crush since 2nd grade in Elementary school. I knew he had Brooke B. all over his head but, I never thought he world like Hannah. “Oh yeah, and he wants to meet you, too.” Hannah said, not as excited. “Really? Where?” I said, forgetting about my jeans. “North Well Park.” She whispered, glumly. “Great, Bye!” I hung up the phone. My mom was standing there. Tapping her finger on the stove counter. “Who wants to meet you?” my mom asked. “Umm, Hannah.” I said. “Good enough for me. Let’s go sweetie. You don’t wanna be late.” My mom said. She putted on her élliet black coat. Her blonde hair swifted out of the front door. My hair was blood red blonde. Very not hot like.

When I got to school, Hannah was standing next to Jordan's locker. I bet she was flirting with him. I always knew Hannah was very competitive. I just walked over to them. But not like super next, just close enough to spy on them. “Hey Jordan, can I meet you and Chandler later. I got lots of homework.” Said Hannah. Jordan’s face turned from Jordan like to Jordan hates. “I guess so.” Said Jordan. “Okay. Bye!” said Hannah. She walked away to room 3-B. I went to Jordan. “Hey Jordan. About the meet thing. I think I will get to attend.” Said me. “That’s great!” said Jordan. His face lit up. Someone came running down the hall. It was Jordan’s mom. Troy and Adam came over to see what is happening. “Jordan, sweetie, you forgot your lunchbox. I got it now for you. And I putted a special note that says ‘I love you’ on there.” Said Jordan’s mom. “Bye, honey bunch.” She said and exited. Everyone started laughing. “Is that your girlfriend?” said Troy, teasing Jordan. He laughed at his own joke. Jordan’s skinny arm tried to bonk Troy on the face. But Jordan was so skinny. He couldn’t bonk the Big Troy. Jordan’s face turned red. He looked at the ground. I bet he felt embarrassed. “EVERYONE, WHY ARE YOU EVEN LAUGHING? AREN’T YOU GUYS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS? IF YOU ARE, WHY IS YOU GUYS SO IMATURE?” I said. The crowd got silent. Everyone, now looked ashamed. They were all looking at each other or looking at the ground. The bell then rang. Everyone cleared the halls. Except for Jordan. He stood there. “Thanks Chandler. And let’s meet at the gym instead today.” He whispered. He headed off. “That’s nice of you to protect a friend.” Said Hannah. She was smiling. She walked off back to class.

At the gym, everyone was preparing. Even me. I was wearing a blue and white cheerleader uniform. Hannah was too. Jordan was wearing a blue football uniform. He was the team captain, could you believe that? “Hut 1!” shouted Jordan. The other football players repeated after him. I am the cheerleader captain for this squad, can you believe that? “Give me a B!” I shouted. Couch Waters blew the whistle. We all covered our ears. “Everyone! Take 5 minute breaks!” shouted couch. The water boys threw ice cold water to everyone. BONK! One water bottle hitted Troy in the head. “Watch it!” said Troy, pointing a finger at the water boys. “Nobles!” shouted couch. “Yes sir!” shouted Troy. The girls giggled. One water bottle almost hitted me! But Jordan cached it right before it before it hitted me. “Thanks.” I said, rubbing my head. “No problem, Chandler.” Jordan said. All the girls laughed again. “What?” I asked. “Is that your new boyfriend?” asked Kathy. She giggled. “No.” I said, flat. “Though she likes- -“ I covered Hannah’s mouth. “She said nothing.” I said. The girls laughed. “BREAK OVER,GIRLS!” said couch, loudly. Couch Waters blew the whistle again. The bell rung for us to go home. “BEFORE YOU GO HOME, REMEMBER THAT TOMORROW IS THE GAME!” said couch. We all looked like we ignored him as we walked away. But we didn’t.

At the winning game, we all were pumped up. Some cheerleaders were even putting on makeup. Some boys were drawing on themselves. So immature. “Everyone! Get ready.” Said Couch. My mom was seating in the 3rd bleacher. I saw Hannah’s mom over on the 2nd bleacher. “GAME ON!” The speaker said like a robot. All the lights rose. “Girls, are you ready.” asked. “Yes!” They said. On Jordan’s team… “Are you ready?” Jordan shouted. “Yes!” They shouted. “Then let’s play some GAME!” Jordan shouted. The game was so tough. I had to run across the field this time. I hope I don’t get hurt. “Go Blue Hawks!” The girls shouted. I closed my eyes and ran across the field. But on the way, the other team’s captain was going to push me. He knew how much a girl could be worth. When Jordan saw me, he quickly ran over and pushed me into his field. And the other captain fell down. I did get hurt but, it wasn’t too bad. Jordan pushed me over to save me. . . “Thanks!” I shouted. But Jordan was already gone. All the girls were still shouting and after the game, we all sat down. “I’m gonna go see Jordan.” I said. I smiled. All the girls smiled too. But when I went over, he wasn’t there. Then suddenly, a thing jumped behind me a pushed me to the ground. It was Jordan. “Get off of me, hero!” I said. He stood up. “Why am I a hero?” he asked? “Cause you are!” I shouted. I pushed him little. He laughed. “Why do you have dirt on your face?” I asked. “Well… I fell too.” He said. I patted some dirt off. And then we kissed. Yes, right there. Everyone started to ‘ooh’ and laugh. And that my story of how I got a boyfriend. And that was me… Chandler Forever, I guess!
