ACCEPTANCE

Sometimes we need to accept things just the way they are. You cannot compel any person to be what you want him to be, you have to let him be independent. Sometimes the conditions are not like what you had thought they’ll be like & that is a time when you feel disappointed, when you feel like you are standing on a dead end & there is no way out. At such a moment, it becomes a mere impossibility to pull yourself together & cope up with the conditions. But once you accept the things the way they are, you find that what you thought of as a dead end was actually just a barrier which has been pulled off. And then you soon see that things are working the way you wanted them to.
Thrusting your will upon someone is foolish rather than cruel. If God has given each person the right to live the way he wants, then how can we mortals dare to force someone & deprive them of their independency? God only forbade us to do wrong, He has bestowed upon us a free life where we can do what we desire. If someone takes on a task that has been enforced upon him, and is against the doer’s will, then either the task will never proceed to completion or either will end up in pathetic conclusions. You see, “when there’s a will there’s a way” but when there is no will, then chances of having a way are --- zero.

FORGIVE & FORGET

People living in their past, wishing to go back in time to correct the folly they made are just joking with themselves & are playing a silly game with their own self & losing. Living in the past & mourning on your mistakes is just punishing yourself once again. Its better that you earn from it rather than mourn on it. A farmer who planted the seed in the wrong way & destroyed it by not watering it, if he continues to cry upon it, then neither will the plant grow, nor will his trade flow. However if he plants the same seed again & waters it, the plant will grow & things will be back to normal. Wisdom is in earning by learning from mistakes
There are some mistakes which are irreversable however, which cannot be corrected. In those conditions, you have to be brave. You have to be strong. In the course of achieving something that you strongly desired & did not achieve because of a single mistake, a sorrow remains in the heart forever & reminds you of that mistake often. But you can not just give it up. You failed once, and its not the end of the world. That thing that you craved for was not worthy to be owned by you. It was not good for you & that’s why you did not get it. Think that way & you soon find hope returning in you.
Forgive those who wronged you. Forgive those who hurt you. You see, forgiveness makes life easy. The pain you received from someone fades away when you forgive him. He gave you pain once only, but when you recall that pain, remember that person again & again then you hurt yourself on your own. Hurting yourself is just silly. You forgive that person, then you stop feeling that pain & thus you don’t hurt your own self.

APPRECIATION

Everyone does not have everything he or she desires. Complaining for what you don’t have is just ridiculous. Its better to be content with what you have for there are many people in the world deprived of basic needs, they are many who crave to live a normal life, a life where all the needs are available. Complaining just makes one feel miserable & down trodden. If one becomes optimistic & is thankful for what he or she has, then life becomes easy & one feels content. Once you stop craving for silly desires, life becomes loveable. Besides, complaining wont get you what you want, striving hard & working sincerely will surely lead you to something good.
There are people in this world who are doing good, who are working tirelessly for a good cause. These people need to be appreciated for their hard work. A little bit of appreciation serves as a fuel for the ones who do some hard work. Just think, suppose you achieved something big after a long struggle. You tell people you know about it & they don’t appreciate you. How would you feel? Obviously, you’ll feel ignored, you’ll feel like you don’t have value. But if you get appreciated then you will get more enthusiastic about that work. You see, appreciation serves as a fuel.

CRITICISM (SPEAKING UP)

Everyone has a right to criticize what he or she feels is wrong. Criticizing & critiquing are both your rights. Criticizing something wrong is just not a “right”, it’s a duty. One must speak up when he or she sees something wrong happening or when some injustice is being done. If a bully at some school is teasing any student, then the teacher should take an action against that bully.
Criticism is of three kinds as far as I have known. The first is just criticism, which I have discussed before, while the second is friendly criticism, which is aimed to benefit someone. Such criticism should be welcomed. You see your friend smoking or drinking & you prompt him, tell him not do this. Or you read a book about a particular subject & you don’t find enough details, so you call the publishers & tell them what more can be added to the book. Both of the above examples are friendly criticisms, which are only done for somebody’s welfare.
Lastly some people tend to criticize others needlessly. They either “target” a person in particular & become his critic, whether he does right or wrong either ways he gets criticized by that critic. There are some who criticize almost everyone at every thing & are never satisfied. You have the right to criticize someone but not needlessly. A person who criticizes others without a legitimate reason is never welcomed anywhere.
Bearing criticism is tough & requires a lot of stamina especially if it is needless & is done over & over again. I salute those who bear criticism almost everyday & yet remain steadfast on what they are doing. Before criticizing or critiquing someone wrong without knowing much about him is unfair & cruel. Imagine how it would feel if you get criticized every time by someone. Critiquing at anything after knowing it completely is okay & should be welcomed.

RESPONSIBILITY

Whether you are a student, a teacher, a parent, a doctor or whatever occupation you have, you are responsible about it. As a student you are responsible to obey your teachers & your seniors, as a teacher you have the responsibility to teach children the right way, to make them love the subject you teach. You have the right to choose whatever you want to be. But once you choose to be something, then it becomes a trust upon you, i.e that is you must be prepared to be held accountable for all the affairs regarding what you do. For example, if a patient is under the observation of a doctor & suddenly his health starts to deteriorate, then the doctor will be held responsible about the patient’s health problem. One cannot certainly flee from his responsibility.
Sometimes we take up on ourselves a responsibility & sometime it is given to us without our will. In the former, just believe that you’ve taken this job & there’s nobody better than you at it. While in the latter, you have to know that you have been trusted to do something, and thus you must do it, don’t think of it as a burden. Feel proud that you have been chosen to take up that task because nobody is more suitable for it than you are. Remember, think positive.
