THE GRIEVANCE
Fifty year old Harry was living alone. He was assisted by his cook, John, who joined him recently. Cautioned by friends about the man’s trustworthiness, Harry stopped assigning John outside purchases.
Irked by this, John complained he was not being trusted by his master. Denying this, and to assuage him, Harry would leave his key-bunch behind while going out.
One day, when Harry returned home, John accused him of still not trusting him and declared he was leaving.
Asked to prove his point, said John, “None of the keys in the bunch suits any of your cupboards or the safe…!?”
HOW IS IT…!?
A movie was going on in a theatre. Suddenly the movie stopped and a slide appeared on the screen. It read, ‘A man has apparently come to the movie with his girl friend. His wife got scent of it, and is presently outside the theatre intending to enter. To avoid embarrassment, it is proposed to switch off the lights in the hall for a minute, with the request to the said couple to leave immediately’.
After that the lights in the hall went off. When the lights came on again, half of the theatre was found to be empty!
“…!?”
THE REASON BEHIND…!
A prisoner was shot by a rival. He was brought to the hospital in a critical condition. The jailor pleaded with the doctors to save the man’s life at any cost. The prisoner was operated upon and was out of danger. With the special care and treatment caused to be meted out by the jailor, he became robust again.
Touched by the unusual concern shown by the jailor for a criminal, the doctors praised him. The jailor said dutifully, “This man is a condemned prisoner, scheduled to be hanged next week. He should be fit and alive for the hanging…!”
