(Jack's P.O.V.)
“Jack, I kissed your mom.”
“Jack, I’m in love with you.”
“Jack, I peed in your drink.”
“Jack, Justin Beiber and I are having an affair.”
“Jack, I’m a gangster and I have a gun under the table.”
“Jack, I ate all your Nutella.”
Well THAT brought me out of my daydream. “You WHAT?” I cried. “I’m kidding. That was the only way for me to get you to snap out of it! And for the record, I hate Nutella.” Grayson laughed. I opened my mouth to defend my love for Nutella, but thought better of it.
I sighed and went back to drooling over Jane. My boo. Well, not yet she’s not. I’m working on it. However, I’m failing miserably.
The music pounded throughout the club, the chairs that we were sitting on were vibrating along with the song. ‘Yeah’ by Usher was playing; I had to admit, his songs were catchy.
“What’s wrong with you? You’re the life of the party, man!” Grayson yelled into my ear because the music was deafening. I shrugged and downed a drink. You’re all probably wondering how three 16 year old sophomores got into a 21 or older club, right? Fake I.D.’s my friend, fake I.D.’s. It was a Friday night, so no curfew. Our parents were cool like that.
I looked around the dark room, the lights were all flashing, and the many bodies of people were dancing and grinding on the dance floor. I searched for a familiar blonde head, but couldn’t find her. Then I focused on Gray.
“- So then the chick goes, ‘Oh. My. God! I like, HATE YOU!’” His voice went up a couple of octaves and cracked; I rolled my eyes.
A couple of girls in really short dresses were eyeing us, and since I didn’t want to hear Grayson babble on and on the whole night, I decided to walk over and talk to them. Of course, Grayson followed me. “Hey there ladies, having fun?” I asked in a smooth, and silky voice. Years of trying to master the art of flirting in front of the mirror finally paid off.
The girls giggled. One of them stepped up and trailed a finger down my chest and bit her lip in a seductive way. “We are now.” She answered my previous question. “Why don’t… you and I go dance?” She asked. I looked over to Gray, he looked pretty darn comfortable. He had two girls under his arm and they were all giggling about something he said. He smirked and flipped his brown hair.
Lookin like a pimp.
At school, he and I were players. And we were proud of it. But we didn’t go around breaking hearts like the typical player. No, we made sure there were no strings attached. So that made us good players, right?
Jane is a sweet girl. She has blonde hair and it’s so soft, I swear, it’s as soft as a baby’s butt. Not that I know what a baby’s butt feels like.. Anyway, Jane’s the brains of our group.
I guess you could say we were popular. But we weren’t those cliché type popular people. Our school does have those people though. Gray, Jane and I were more like the social butterflies, if you get my drift. We stuck together but moved around into different groups. The Populars are good friends of ours.
“Baby?” The girl smiled. Oh, right. Her. I need to learn her name so I don’t call her ‘The Girl’ anymore.
“Lets go!” I whooped and dragged her to the dance floor.
