Intro

It all started on a rainy day in the car. It was a day I thought my life ended, but it was also the day my life began. I was in seventh grade and my family and I had been in a car for three days straight on our way to the family reunion.

I began to notice my mom was getting tired,” Mom maybe you should let dad drive you look kind of tired and its beginning to rain.” She looked at me through the mirror and said,” Honey you are the one who looks tired. Take a nap and we will wake you up when we get there.” I wasn’t really tired but I did as was told and fell asleep.

The Beginning

I awoke only to notice that I wasn’t in the car or a hotel, I sat up and looked around. The room was clean and white, there were tubes attached to my chest and a breathing mask on my face. I took the mask and tubes off only to be greeted by a loud and very annoying beeping noise. People outside the room began to enter looking worried, when they saw me sitting up they all exhaled a sigh of relief. Everyone in the room I realized were doctors, one doctor approached me and said,” Ah, good you’re awake. You know you have been asleep for three days, we were beginning to think you slipped into a comma.” Three days, what the heck I was just in my car sleeping. I look at the doctor and ask,” Where are my parents, I need to see them?” He looked at me with sadness in his eyes,” Your parents passed away when the car crashed. We need to ask you some questions to make sure you are all right.” We sat there for hours answering and asking questions when I finally asked,” What crash I was just in my car on the way to Northern California?” He looked at me with sorrow in his eyes and explained how it was raining, both of my parents fell asleep, and the car ran off the side of the road.

It took me a while to accept the fact that I would never see my loving parents ever again. They made me stay in the hospital for about a week considering I had some pretty bad injuries. On the last day I was at the hospital a government official came to speak to me,” Hi I’m Melony I came here to ask you something.” “Okay what do you want to ask me?” “Well Tasha I will give you a choice. You can both leave here and go live with a family member or you can choose from a list of rock stars and be adopted.” I replied instantly,” Where’s the list?” Melony looked at me with a shocked expression,” You don’t want to be with family?” I smirked and replied,” No I have a messed up family, and half of us don’t even like each other or at least I don’t like them.” We talked a little longer and about ten minutes before she left she asked,” So which rock star would you like to live with?” I asked awkwardly,” Is anyone from the band Black Veil Brides on that list?” Melony smiled and nodded,” Yes Tasha actually Andy Six is looking to adopt.” I lit up with excitement,” Could you ask him if he would want to adopt me?” She once again smiled and nodded,” I’ll talk to him tomorrow.”

The Call

The government allowed me to stay in my old house until I got the life changing call of where I would be going. It had been a month since I was let out of the hospital and I was beginning to get anxious. I had just sat down with a bowl of cereal when the phone began too ring. Slowly I walked towards the phone and answered,” Hello.” “Hey is this Tasha Mullins?” the caller asks. “ Uh yeah this is Tasha. Who’s this?” “Hi my name is Andy Six and I’m calling to tell you that I’ve decided to adopt you.” I scream with excitement,” Really Oh My Gosh. I can’t believe this. I was beginning to think you didn’t want me.” “Well I do want you. Now go pack your things we are on our way for you.” He then hangs up and I quickly pack my things.

A New Beginning

It was around 5 p.m. when the band got to my house in Louisiana. When I opened the door they were all standing there Andy in the middle, Jinxx to his left, Ashley to Andy’s right, Jake to Jinxx’s left, and Christian to Ashley’s Right. Each waved at me, Andy stepped forward,” You look older than what I expected.” I ask curiously,” How old do you think I am?” “ I thought you were 12-13 years old.” I smile,” Ok ‘cause I am 12 and turning 13 in a few months. How old do I look?” He answers awkwardly,” To me you look about 15.” All the others agree and I laugh,” Yeah I get that a lot . Can we get going.” He nods and grabs my things. In the limo I can’t help but think how hot Andy is and how cool it is to live with him.

Arriving To Heaven

After a 24 hour flight we finally arrived in Los Angeles, California. When I looked around I grew sad and Jinxx asked,” What’s wrong? You seemed happy on the flight.” I gave him a weak smile and said,” This is where my parents and I were driving to when we crashed.” His look softened and I shrugged,” It’s no problem, I’ll live.” Each of us had about two suitcases when we entered the mansion, I looked around in awe. Andy chuckled,” Yeah I know it’s huge. That’s why I wanted to adopt, I began to feel lonely.” I chuckled and Andy showed me to my room, well actually more of a suite. The walls were black with neon green splatters, the bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub with a shower and the walls were bloody red. Apparently they did some research on me before they came for me. Christian handed me an iPod,” I already uploaded all of your favorite songs.” I thanked them and they left me to settle in.

The first thing I wanted to do was try out the Jacuzzi and listen to my new iPod. When “Rebel Love Song” came on I began singing to it as I heard an intercom go off in the bathroom,” Tasha I just wanted to let you know that if you need anything use this intercom. Oh and diner will be served in about twenty minutes. I pushed the reply button,” Ok thank you for letting me know. I will be down stairs in a few.” Regrettably I got out of the Jacuzzi and got dressed. When I got down stairs the guys were practicing so I sat on a nearby couch and listened.

They Found My Talent

Andy seemed obsessed with finding my talent, of course I already knew what it was but it was funny watching him freak out. He tried making me play instruments which ended with our ears almost bleeding. Then he tried making me fix electronics around the house, which ended with the maids angry at the mess I made. He never thought to try making me sing and that was my talent, I sang every chance I got. The only time I would sing is when I was alone because of the serious stage fright I have. One day I was singing in my room when Jinxx walked in,” Jinxx you better not tell Andy about this!” He smiled,” Why not you have great talent?” I look at him,” I don’t want him to know because
