“Too busy to talk to the king?” I asked.
Ursa said, “Maybe it’s because you haven’t had your coronation? Perhaps if you went to the Royal Palace, you could—”
Before Ursa finished her sentence, Sergeant Imi and several of her staff — all of them hot Monster babes with a rainbow of different skin and hair colors — wheeled my breakfast into the recovery room where I lay lounging on the bed.
“That was quick,” I said, sitting up with a smile.
Sergeant Imi said, “My staff started prepping as soon as I heard you were back, my king. I know what you like first thing in the morning,” she winked flirtatiously. Even Imi dropped hints on a regular basis. Unlike Sadys, Imi’s were fun and friendly with no strings attached.
“You do know what I like,” I grinned, my eyes sweeping over Imi’s beautiful Monster body. With her ruby-red hair, striking crimson eyes, and hot pink skin, Imi was hotter than anything she’d brought me to eat on the golden dome-covered breakfast platters. I muttered over comms, “Ursa, my breakfast’s here. I need to plow through this food. We’ll try High Command again later. Or let me know if they try contacting me.”
“Anything you say, my king,” Ursa replied with a sexy smile. She added with a naughty giggle, “Oh, and don’t forget to enjoy your first meal of the day, my king.”
“I won’t,” I chortled. “Thanks. Talk to you later.”
“Control and Ursa out.”
“Out,” I said, my eyes all over the parade of purple-draped food carts that Imi and her hot Monster staff arranged around the end of my bed. As much as I wanted to look at their beautiful bodies and drool, I kept my eyes pinned on the golden platters.
Scepter wouldn’t get his fill today, but Stomach soon would. I was trying to focus on the small victories instead of the agony of my morals defeating Scepter’s every desire. Truth was, Stomach was grumbling loudly. He was hungry enough to eat a whore. I mean a horse.
Fucking promises.
—: Chapter 126 :—
“Are you ready for your breakfast, my king?” Sergeant Imi beamed.
“Absolutely,” I grinned. “How you doing this morning?”
“Never better. I heard you had a close scrape last night?”
“Scrape?” I snorted at that bit of understatement. “What’d you hear?”
“Same thing as everyone else. Your Shock Knights came back injured. Were you attacked by pirates?”
“And Terrorsaurs. We’ll leave it at that.” I was reluctant to go into grim details.
“Yes, my king,” Imi said dutifully.
“Is everyone behaving themselves in the mess hall?” I was referring to the ongoing feud between Normals and Monsters.
“No riots, if that’s what you mean.”
“Yeah,” I nodded. “Good to hear.”
Imi’s staff lifted the golden domes off the golden platters, revealing a sumptuous feast. The food wasn’t the only feast for my eyes. Imi and the Monster babes she brought with her always qualified. As usual, they wore their formal V-cut uniforms when serving me. My eyes didn’t land on the steaming food. Scepter was at the wheel now, forcing Stomach to wait. Scepter steered my eyes to stare at the feast of cleavage and thigh gap at my eye level. I sat behind a hexagonal table set up by Imi’s staff. The mood I was in, I would’ve loved nothing more than to sweep the food off the table and carts with one dramatic flourish, throw Imi and her staff on top of each one, and dine on the dessert between every babe’s legs. Except… promises, promises.
“Thanks, ladies,” I grunted politely. “I’ll take it from here.”
If they didn’t leave, I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on eating.
Thankfully, they quickly filed out.
I stared hungrily at their asses as they went.
Once they were gone, I readied myself to attack my breakfast with savage fury, golden knife and fork poised to strike.
“Please tell me you haven’t started yet, my king!” pleaded a familiar female voice from the hatchway.
I stopped before I could spear a sizzling breakfast sausage with my name on it. I looked up to see Aura the Shock Knight. Standing behind her were Iyse and Kuma.
The Titillating Trio.
They were out of their pink gowns and back in their golden boots-and-gloves uniforms. My eyes drilled their naked thigh gaps with ravenous rage. I instantly got hard. Turned out Scepter was hungrier than Stomach by a factor of ten thousand. Too bad Scepter was on a nine-day diet. You know what they say about promises. Fuck. Them. Fuck fucking promises. Man, I was pissed about making that fucking promise.
“Captain Theia sent me to check your food,” Aura said.
“Oh, right. Thanks.” I was so used to Theia scanning my food for poison, toxins, or Microservs with her rings, I’d almost forgotten about it with her gone.
Aura walked up to the food and ran her ring hovering over every platter. “Everything looks good, my king. Enjoy your breakfast.”
“Thanks,” I said. “I take it your rings are working again?”
“They issued us new ones from the armory,” Aura said.
“Great,” I grunted. I glanced at Iyse and Kuma. “Why’d Captain Theia send you ladies?”
Kuma said, “We’re supposed to watch over you while she rests.”
I snorted, “Nobody is watching me eat. Grab a plate and help yourselves.” I motioned with a golden fork and knife.
Iyse said, “We can’t eat your Royal Breakfast, my king.”
“Sure you can,” I said.
“It’s against the law,” Iyse said emphatically.
“Not anymore, it isn’t,” I said and speared that breakfast sausage calling my name, slicing off the salty end and popping it in my mouth.
The trio stood there watching while I chewed.
“Have a seat,” I mumbled around my mouthful. The real reason I wanted them to sit was so I didn’t have to drool over the naked clam-bake between their legs. Believe me, the breakfast sausage in my mouth was the last thing I wanted to eat now. Scepter was actually offended I had started with cooked sausage instead of fresh sea food.
The trio fetched chairs, grabbed golden flatware and empty plates from one of the carts, and sat around the hexagonal table with
