Chapter 13
Attack
Date: September 11th, 2020
It was lunch break, since their time with the guidance counselors was consumed class time, the five walked slowly and defeated towards the side entrance of the school. The kids in the hallway saw Trixie’s hair and Veronica started to freeze the hallways, they could tell their transformations along with Aiden’s invisibility turning on and off. The five tried to ignore them, they got rants from the students, “Superior-Freaks”, thinking that the superior-beings were back. Trixie was saddened the way the kids in the hallways were giving them dirty looks.
“Hey freaks,” a student in the hallways spoke rudely. “Get out of our school, even our country.”
Aiden’s rage boiled up, he could not resist holding it in, he swiftly shoved a student against the locker wall. The kid was panicking, and he wet his pants. Aiden raised his fist and said “First, we did not ask for this, we just woke up with these powers or abilities. Second, we are not Superior-Beings, we are Stellar-Beings. Third, why is it that us teens got abilities suddenly rather than adults like the Superior-Beings? Four, if any of you try to mock us, you know what will happen when I feed you my fist. I guess not all of us can have a normal kid life, so unfortunate I ruined your good pair of pants.”
“Let him go Aiden,” Luis remarked. “That’s enough out of all of you. Let’s go Aiden, they would never understand the hardships of waking up with these abilities.”
Aiden’s invisibility turned off and he let go of the kid who fell to the ground. Aiden and the others approached the side exit. Some students were heading towards the gymnasium for the upcoming student council assembly speech, since it was the last day of the first week of school. Trixie recognized the students from her class that mocked her. As she passed by them, streaks of her pastel colors began to fade away. Meaning she lost trust in those kids entirely, since they started to mock her more which saddened her.
BOOM! BOOM!
Suddenly debris of stones, concrete, metal and glass started to go everywhere towards the five as they were about to approach the side exit of the school. They heard sounds coming from the gymnasium but were too distracted by a figure approaching them from a distance, as the side exit doors were all shattered and broken down. The students in the hallways started to panic on what was happening. There stood a familiar face as Aiden and the others stood up after the explosion knocked them down.
“Alves!” a familiar figure spoke as he approached Aiden slowly.
“Brian,” Aiden said in a low tone voice and began to speak up louder. “What’s the meaning of all of this?”
Vanrod ignored what Aiden said as he walked towards Aiden. He let loose his shockwave punch at Aiden, but instead hit the ground as Aiden dodged. This caused more debris around them. That gave Trixie an idea to do something about the situation as other students were about to get hurt from the debris and the shockwave. Trixie ran with previous colorful pastel frames of her movements as she used her superspeed to save the kids from the impact. Her vision of going fast, was as if time had almost stopped, due to her immense speed, it would take over a minute for someone to pronounce a syllable as she was using her superspeed. She grabbed each kid one by one and put them to the side or to the other end of the school as far as possible. She saw her friend Alexandra too near the shockwave impact, she swiftly ran and grabbed her as the fragments of the shockwave debris almost hit her eye and face.
She ran, taking Alexandra to an extremely far point of the school, as she stopped, Alexandra’s hair flew back swiftly, finally reacting to Trixie’s superspeed and she suddenly looked at Trixie curiously. Trixie stared at her best friend for a few seconds, until a magenta pastel color reappeared, showing that she deep down admired her and trusted her fully. Alexandra witnessed Trixie’s hair color appearing with a new color, she realized deep down that Trixie did not dye her hair at all.
“I was going to tell you,” Trixie said. “I’m sorry. But I gotta go.”
“Trixie, wait!” Alexandra stammered and Trixie was gone in less than a couple of seconds.
Luis did not have any weapons at his disposal, as he saw Aiden turning his invisibility on and going in to attack Brian, Luis kept thinking of what he could possibly use as a weapon. Out of nowhere within his hidden arsenal, he took out a long sports hockey stick from a locker some distance away, telepathically.
“Alright, we gotta help Aiden out,” Luis stammered.
“Luis wait,” Allison said. “Are we supposed to-?” She stopped in mid-sentence as Luis attacked Vanrod, she was going to say work together or coordinate with each other. Veronica also ignored what Allison was about to say, but as she ran to strike Brian to freeze him, she accidentally froze her own hand into a block of ice. She was not familiar with her powers or abilities. Now her right hand was stuck in a block of ice.
“For the last time Vanrod, let’s take this outside!” Aiden used his hidden attacks around him. As he punched “What are you-?”
“I’m here to destroy you Alves,” Vanrod spoke in a darken tone, with the essence of the Chaos Void. “Wanna take it outside eh?”
“What?” Aiden could not believe that he heard a supernatural aspect of Brian’s voice, as if a corrupted darkness has taken over him. This distracted Aiden for a split second. Vanrod punched him in the stomach causing him to fly and
