kouche, ou wè m', ou konnen tou sa m'ap fè.

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, But, lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.
4 Mwen poko menm louvri bouch mwen, ou gen tan konnen tou sa mwen pral di.

5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, And laid thy hand upon me.
5 Kote m' vire, ou la bò kote m', w'ap pwoteje m' ak pouvwa ou.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain unto it.
6 Konesans ou genyen yo twòp pou mwen. Yo depase m', mwen pa konprann yo.

7 ¶ Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
7 ¶ Ki bò mwen ta ale pou m' pa jwenn ak ou? Ki bò mwen ta ale pou ou pa wè m' devan je ou?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou art there.
8 Si m' moute nan syèl la, se la ou ye. Si m' desann kote mò yo ye a, ou la tou.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, And thy right hand shall hold me.
10 l'a ankò, w'ap toujou la pou mennen m', w'ap la pou pwoteje m'.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall overwhelm me, And the light about me shall be night;
11 Si mwen di: -Bon! M' pral kache nan fènwa a. M' pral rete kote tout limyè mouri.

12 Even the darkness hideth not from thee, But the night shineth as the day: The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

13 For thou didst form my inward parts: Thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.
13 Wi, se ou ki fòme tout pati nan kò m', se ou ki ranje yo byen ranje nan vant manman m'.

14 I will give thanks unto thee; For I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Wonderful are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.
14 M'ap fè lwanj ou, paske ou pa manke fè bèl bagay. Tou sa ou fè se bèl bagay. Mwen konn sa byen.

15 My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, And curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
15 Ou te konnen tout zo nan kò m', depi lè m' t'ap fòme kote moun pa t' ka wè a, depi lè ou t'ap travay mwen ak ladrès nan fon tè a.

16 Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.

17 ¶ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
17 ¶ Bondye, sa ki nan tèt ou twò difisil pou m' konprann, lèfini yo anpil!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee.
18 Si m' ta vle konte yo, yo ta pi plis pase grenn sab ki bò lanmè. Si m' ta janm rive fin konte yo, mwen p'ap pi konnen ou pase sa.

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.
19 Bondye, si ou ta vle touye mechan yo! Si ou ta vle fè ansasen yo manyè kite m' an repo!

20 For they speak against thee wickedly, And thine enemies take thy name in vain.
20 Yo anba chal! Y'ap revòlte kont ou. Y'ap pale ou mal.

21 Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
21 Seyè, kouman ou ta vle pou m' pa rayi moun ki rayi ou yo! Kouman ou ta vle pou m' pa gen degoutans pou moun k'ap leve dèyè ou yo?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: They are become mine enemies.
22 Mwen pa manke rayi yo. Mwen konsidere yo tankou lènmi m'.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts;
23 Sonde m', Bondye! Wè tou sa ki nan kè m'! Fouye m'! Wè tou sa ki nan lide m'!

24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
24 Gade wè si m' sou yon move chemen. Mennen m' sou chemen ki la pou tout tan an.

Sòm 140

1 ¶ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Deliver me, O Jehovah, from the evil man; Preserve me from the violent man:
1 ¶ Pou chèf sanba yo. Se yon sòm David. Seyè, delivre m' anba mechan yo non! Pwoteje m' anba ansasen yo non,

2 Who devise mischiefs in their heart; Continually do they gather themselves together for war.
2 anba moun k'ap kalkile move lide nan tèt yo, ki tout tan ap pouse dife.

3 They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders' poison is under their lips. Selah

4 Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.
4 Seyè, pa kite m' tonbe anba men mechan yo, pwoteje m' anba ansasen yo k'ap chache jan pou yo fè m' tonbe.

5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set gins for me. Selah
5 Awogan yo pare yon pèlen pou mwen, yo tann pèlen kòd pou mwen, yo mete moun veye m' sou tout chemen mwen.

6 I said unto Jehovah, Thou art my God: Give ear unto the voice of my supplications, O Jehovah.
6 Mwen di Seyè a: -Se ou ki Bondye mwen. Koute m' non, Seyè, lè m'ap rele nan pye ou.

7 O Jehovah the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
W'ap pwoteje m' lè batay la mare.

8 ¶ Grant not, O Jehovah, the desires of the wicked; Further not his evil device, lest they exalt themselves. Selah
8 ¶ Seyè, pa kite mechan yo fè sa yo gen lide fè a! Pa kite sa yo vle fè a rive!

9 As for the head of those that compass me about, Let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10 Let burning coals fall upon them: Let them be cast into the fire, Into deep pits, whence they shall not rise.
10 Se pou Bondye grennen chabon dife sou yo tankou lapli. Se pou l' fè yo tonbe nan gwo twou byen fon kote yo p'ap janm ka leve sòti.

11 An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth: Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
11 Se pou moun k'ap pale moun mal yo pèdi pye nan peyi a. Se pou malè tonbe sou ansasen yo pou l' touye yo.

12 I know that Jehovah will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And justice for the needy.
12 Mwen konnen Seyè a va fè pòv yo jistis. L'a defann kòz moun ki san sekou yo.

13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: The upright shall dwell in thy presence.
13 Wi, moun k'ap mache dwat yo va fè lwanj li. Moun ki obeyi l' yo va toujou viv devan l'.

Sòm 141

1 ¶ A Psalm of David. Jehovah, I have called upon thee; Make haste unto me: Give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
1 ¶ Se yon sòm David. Seyè, m'ap rele ou, prese vin kote m' non! Panche zòrèy ou pou tande lè m'ap rele nan pye ou!

2 Let my prayer be set forth as incense before thee; The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.
3 Seyè, mete yon mò nan bouch mwen. Veye pawòl k'ap soti nan bouch mwen!

4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, To practise deeds of wickedness With men that work iniquity: And let me not eat of their dainties.
4 Pa kite move lide pran tèt mwen. Pa kite m' mete tèt ansanm ak mechan yo nan mechanste yo. Pa kite m' patisipe nan fèt yo!

5 ¶ Let the righteous smite me, it shall be a kindness; And let him reprove me, it shall be as oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.
5 ¶ Ou mèt kite yon moun ki mache dwat pini m'. Ou mèt kite yon moun k'ap sèvi ou rale zòrèy mwen. Men, pa kite m' patisipe nan okenn fèt mechan yo. Paske, lè m'ap lapriyè, m'ap toujou denonse sa y'ap fè ki mal.

6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock; And they shall hear my words; For they are sweet.

7 As when one ploweth and cleaveth the earth, Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
7 Tankou lè y'ap fann bwa pou fè l' fè ti moso, se konsa zosman nou yo pral gaye devan bouch twou kote mò yo ye a.

8 For mine eyes are unto thee, O Jehovah the Lord: In thee do I take refuge; leave not my soul destitute.

9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, And from the gins of the workers of iniquity.
9 Pa kite m' pran nan pèlen yo tann pou mwen, nan pèlen moun k'ap fè mal yo.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, Whilst that I withal escape.
10 Se pou mechan yo pran nan pèlen y'ap pare pou lòt moun, epi mwen menm, pou m' fè chemen
