Rebecca
58 degress in Olympic. The cold rush washed through my hair, as the wind splahed against my face. I could feel my stomach tossing and turning in my body. I held my hands up, ready to go upside down.
I was right.
Next to me, Eric, yelling and screaming his guts out, nearly crying. While me, Rebecca Grogan, was having one of the best times of my life with my best friend. We were located at the Olympic Amusement Park, here in downtown Alan. It was the beginning of Eric and I's summer before our senior year in high school. The roller coaster was death- defying, The Brain Crusher. Thank goodness we were getting. My head was spinning.
" How did you like the rollercoaster?", Eric asked me, walking towards me with his hands behind his back.
" It was pretty crazy! You sounded like a girl, dude!" I giggled.
" Yeah. But that's still alright." He joined my laughter.
" Hey, do you wanna come over to my house? My mom just bought that Iron Man DVD." I asked, hoping he would say yes.
" Yeah, sure." He agreed. We walked back to my midnight blue Camry, and turned off the alarm. Eric slipped in through the passenger seat, while I got in the drivers seat, heading north up Wooldlann St. I looked back at Eric, staring out the window. Lost in his own mind. Then pain crossed his face.
" Eric, what's wrong?" Concern was in my voice, and I hope he relized that.
" I just think maybe I might diappear one day." I felt a sudden swell of moisture build up in my eyes. My fingers clenched against the steering wheel. I could have sworn the headlights got brighter.
" Why would you say that Eric?" I was now sobbing, and I let the tears fall down my cheeks. I was crying.
" No! I mean I feel I might disappear from you one day."
