people making out on the stairway. Eww trying to get past those two is going to be a challenge and a half, they were all over each other.

I took three steps forward to try and begin the climb of the stairs that would be more of an obstacle course when I saw them, SJ, my best friend and Matt, my current crush.

My heart was torn to shreads.
They were the two passion hungry teenagers slobbering all over each other on the stairway, my eyes welled up with tears and before one could roll down my cheeck, I ran as fast as I could, out of the house, out of the garden and out of their lives. I no longer had a best friend.

Really really short chapter to give it a little bit of spice after the really boring chapter, I only had this short cause I liked the last two sentences :D I hope everyone likes my story but if some people don't I don't care :) I enjoy writing it. So I will continue to do so :)
Chapter 10

(This bit is before Lucy finds them two)

SJ's Point Of View

Oh god I shouldn't have drunk all of that vodka. I thought to
myself as I continued to jump up and down on the dancefloor with Matt. Lucy had gone out for some fresh air and I was planning to talk to Matt about pulling Lucy tonight.

Oh shit, it will have to wait, the vodka was going straight to my head. I ran to the bathroom under the stairs and made it just in time to produce a colourful upchuck of vomit down the toilet. There goes my theory of using vodka to block out worries. This whole Jay drama was sending me in a downwards spiral and vodka was not the way to resolve it.
I heard someone shouting my name outside the door, it was a male voice that sounded so kind and reassuring. Matt?
I proceeded to open the door and managed to crawl to the stairway and sit on the third step. Matt sat down beside me.

"Hey are you alright?" Matt asked me gently with a gentle whisper.
"Yes I'm fine" I whispered back in a wavery tone, trying to hold back my tears and force a smile. "Just boy drama, don't worry about it."
"Why don't you tell me all about it, see if I can help." Matt said genuinely.
I was speechless, Jay had never shown interest in my emotions or ever asked me how I was, our relationship was mainly based on the physical stuff which, I thought was the only thing in teenage relationships.

I began to tell Matt, a complete stranger to me, all about my relationship with Jay and how we had gotten into a huge fight at the hospital and were on the verge of braking up. When I had finished my lengthy saga, Matt leaned forward to wipe a tear from my eyes. Our forheads were almost touching and I felt his hot breath brushing my cheek and then it happened. I acted without thinking of my dear best friend.

I pulled Matt closer to me by the navy collar of his Hollister shirt and pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss. Even though it was me who kissed him, he quickly took control over it and everything around me seemed to disappear for a moment, until I spotted Lucy, innocently looking around for something, or someone.

I instantly got sucked back into reality, realising what I had just done to the one person that I cared most about in the world. I quickly scanned the room for Lucy, but she had disappeared in a matter of moments after obsering her best friend betraying her trust.

Chapter 11

Lucys Point of View

I ran to Mark's car, got in and slammed the door behind me. I sobbed furiously as I waited for Mark and Aaron to drive them home. I turned up the radio blaring the music to block out my thoughts. It didn't work. My thoughts were too angry to be silenced.

I heard laughing and jeering from across the driveway and when I looked over I saw that it was Aaron, carrying a very drunken Mark out to the car. I quickly wiped my tears determined not to let Aaron see that I was an emotional wreck and when I was sure that I had wiped all of the runny mascara from my pink cheeks I forced a smile and opened the car door.

"Ready to go?" I asked shakily. Aaron seemed suspicious.
"Erm yes....Lucy?"
"Yeah?"
"Are you alright? You seem wary."
"Im fine, just tired."
Aaron proceeded to shove Mark into the back of the car and he jumped in beside me.
"So, did you have fun?" He asked me nervously.
"Uh huh" I replied weakly while gritting my teeth.
"You don't seem that happy, was it that guy you were with? Matt?" I winced at the name and clenched my fists around the steering wheel.
"Lu, if he has tried anything on you, tell me and I swear I'll make him regret it."
I shook my head as my eyes once again filled with tears.
"Well something has clearly happened! Tell me, Lu, what's wrong?" He stated quite angrily.
I wondered why he seemed to care so much, afterall I wasn't his little sister. Although, I think I liked it. Someone seemed to actually care about me for once. I turned to look at him and he seemed to mirror my actions as he did the same and looked at me.

Aaron leaned forward with the intention of kissing me, knowing my brother, his drunken best friend was passed out in the back seat. But, just as he was about to do so, an ear piercing screech of brakes interuppted.
I screamed and swerved the car with hopes to avoid the oncoming lorry, but it was too late. Aaron grabbed my hand and we fell into blackness.

Chapter 12

I was wakened by the consistent beeping sound of a machine that I seemed to have been plugged into.
I opened my eyes slowly as I regained consciousness and I saw a bright, white light.
I had a sudden flashback of the accident, the screeching of brakes and the blinding light of the lorry's headlights pouring through the windows. I was in shock.

It suddenly came to me that Mark and Aaron were in the car too. I reopened my eyes quickly and sat up as best I could, despite the sharp pain travelling down my back and neck. I saw Aaron.

He was sleeping on the arm chair beside my bed. I scanned him for injuries. He had a few minor cuts and bruises, but despite that, he was fine. I sighed with relief and it woke Aaron.

"Lucy? ....You're awake!" Aaron said excitedly. "Lie back down, you'll hurt yourself."
"I don't want to lie down, how long have I been out?" I replied.
"About a week" Aaron said slowly.
A week! I thought it would have been a matter of hours.
"It doesn't matter, Im fine at least. Are you ok Aaron, I'm so sorry.." My voice trailed off as my eyes began to prick with tears.
"Lucy, I'm fine really, don't get all worked up." Aaron wiped a tear from my eye and half-smiled. I grinned back at him.
"So I take it Mark avoided most of the impact too? Where is he? Chatting up a nurse no doubt." I said, yawning while lying back in the hospital bed.

The smile from Aaron's face instanty disappeared. I felt my heart pounding.
"Aaron..., where is he?" I shouted whilst getting up with intentions to find my older brother.
"Lucy, don't, please,......he's gone."
Aaron grabbed me, stopping me from running out of the room and I continually punched him in the chest.
"No! Where is he, I want my big brother.!"
My punches grew weaker as I began to accept that my brother was gone....and it was my fault.

Chapter 13

The funeral made it worse. It made Mark's death seem more definite and I could hardly bare it. As I stared down at the coffin all of my cherished memories of Mark came flooding back to me. I once again burst into tears and Aaron, who was standing next to me at the time, pulled me into an brace and reassured me, telling me that everything would be ok.

Aaron had been very kind and helpful in arranging things when I deemed unfit, it was almost as if he cared
