“Yeah and thanks to this fuck here,” I mutter stepping up to Javier and punch him in the face. “I can’t sleep because he’s the cause of my ol’ lady having nightmares. Him and his nephew.”
“Fuck that’s what that blood curling scream was?” Pyro asks. His room is across from mine so I’m sure he’d heard.
“Yeah. Now we’re getting rid of this fucker once and for all. Capone’s taken care of his home and we can finally move on with business as usual.” Shrugging my shoulders, I turn to face the wall of torture as we call it. Finding my branding iron and blow torch, I pull them off the wall. Bringing a flame to the top of the torch I hold it to the tip of the rod. Watching it as the steel glows red I turn to face Javier. I want him to see what’s coming.
Soon as the rod is glowing bright, I hand the torch over to Bane.
With the room filled with silence from my brothers the only thing you can hear are the two men’s harsh breaths as they both watch the rod in my hand.
“Did you know that punishment by branding was adopted by the Anglo-Saxons during the dark and middle ages? They had different irons for branding them for the crime. I’ve always found it fascinating to watch how a person’s eyes widen when they feel the heat coming closer to their face,” I say moving until I’m standing directly in front of Javier. Holding the iron up waving the tip directly in his face before pressing it to the bridge of his nose.
His screams fill the room as the searing heat burns his skin.
Pulling the rod back. I turn to Bane, who holds the blow torch out. Putting the steel to the tip I let it heat yet again. When it had the perfect glow, I faced Javier again. “You're gonna burn in hell but you’ll be marked by this iron showing all who see you the branding and know even in the depths of Tartarus what type of person you were. I’m sure Lucifer has a special place waiting for you.”
Again, and again I press the iron to his skin burning his flesh until the rod cools. Reaching behind me I hand the rod to one of my brothers before taking the blow torch from Bane.
Staring at the flame for a moment I feel the satisfaction for what I’m about to do. Lifting the blow torch, I press the tip to one of Javier’s eyes. His screams are like music to my ears as I move to his other. Once I finish with his eyes, I shut the torch down. Placing it back against the wall I pick up one of the jagged knives we have. Using those I begin stabbing the man in the chest until he takes his last shuttered breath.
It takes both Bane and Pyro to pull me away from Javier’s body.
Dropping the knife, I shake my brothers hold on my arms. “I’m good. Have at the prospect. Do what you want. I don’t give a fuck. Right now, I’m going back upstairs, showering and sinking into my ol’ lady. Tomorrow starts a new fuckin’ day and we’ve got shit to do. Guns to run and beers to drink. Today I’ll be enjoying my family,” I declare.
At all my brothers’ nods, I leave the room covered in the blood of one of the men who took the last ten years from me. Behind me I hear the sounds of the prospect’s screams of agony as I know exactly what my brothers are doing. Dismembering him limb from limb. You don’t fuck over our club without repercussions. His death will be a long slow process.
Grinning I head up the stairs and to the one who makes me feel whole. There’s a quote that we all live in chaos. Emery’s and mine has been nothing but a cyclone of chaos. Now it’s time for the peace that comes after the storm.
Even if it’s just for a little while. Because in our world there’s always an enemy at every turn. It’s my job to keep my club, my brothers, my ol’ lady, and my son safe. And that’s exactly what I intend to do.

Emery
It’s strange how things can change. Over the last month, I’ve gotten used to being at the clubhouse more and more.
Samuel and I had a long discussion about everything including me and Demi being known as Fate and Seer. He didn’t like the fact I’d been out there being a vigilante, but he got over it quickly. Well I should say he dropped the subject when I sank down on his dick and started riding him.
It’s the best part about our nightly conversations.
He has a rule that neither of us go to bed angry with the other person. I’d been shocked when he declared this a rule, but I understood.
“Angel, is everything ready?” Samuel asks, coming into the kitchen at the clubhouse.
“Yeah, I’m just finishing up,” I say, throwing a smile in his direction.
“Good let the CW’s carry everything out, some of the guys from the Ohio charter are here and I want you to meet someone,” he states, holding his hand out to me.
Taking his hand, I let him pull me out of the kitchen before wrapping an arm around my waist.
Walking outside to where all the guys are standing around Samuel guides me over to a man. “Ghoul got someone I want you to meet,” Scorch says as the guy turns to face us.
When he meets my gaze, he seems to have some similar features to Samuel. Glancing up at my husband. “Em, this is my uncle he’s the president of the Ohio charter and the man who saved me from doing something very stupid,” Scorch says, grinning. I on the other hand frown. At the mention of that I know what he’s talking about and I blame myself for it.
“Nice to
